Type of Scam: Imposter Scam - Fake Rewards Scam Description: I received a postcard claiming I had an unclaimed reward worth $100. The message mentioned major retailers like Walmart and Target and instructed me to call a toll-free number (1-855-520-1286) to claim the reward. It also provided a "Claim #" (97898828). The postcard stated failure to call would result in forfeiture. This appears to be a scam as I was not expecting any reward, and such tactics align with known scams flagged by the BBB. Scammer Information: Name: Not specified Address: 04101 (indicated on the mail as permit location) Phone: 1-855-520-1286 Date Received: [12/09/2024]. Additional Notes: I have not provided any personal information and want to alert others about this scheme. They state the only options for receiving this reward is to give them your checking account or savings account information.

Yet again another postcard! This one is for an unclaimed reward of $100 that is being held on my "account" at a main processing center. I need to use a claim # (97146917) before it expires 12/8/2024. It says that they can be reached Monday-Saturday from 9 am to 10 pm EST at 1-855-713-2116. Failure to call will result in automatic forfeiture of this reward....

Received a post card stating a unclaimed reward for $100 voucher with Wal-Mart, Target and more. I was to call the number 1-855-XXX-XXXX to claim the reward. I called the number and was asked for the claim number printed on the card. I was then asked if i wanted the reward deposited into either my checking or savings account. I then asked if it was possible for them to just snail-mail me the $100 check. He said no and that he needed my account number that he already had my routing number for my bank. I said no, sorry i do nof give out my bank information. He then hung up.

Sent me a post card saying I have an $100 unclaimed reward that's being held at their processing center. No business name on the post card. First red flag, second when I called they quickly asked for my bank account info. As soon as I told them I wasn't just giving anyone that info. I asked they what was the name of their company and he kept insisting that the money would be in my account the next day and again I asked what company is just giving people $100 and what the name of the company is again. At this time he hung up on me. He sounded philippino. I am philippino and I recognize the accent. I'll save the post card if needed.

I received a card in the mail that stated that I could redeem my unclaimed reward from Walmart and Target.  I called the number and they requested my banking account information so I could receive a 100 dollar gift card.  Each time I would call they would give a different excuse as to when I would receive the money.

I received a card in the mail with no business name telling me I have unclaimed reward of $100 good at Walmart or Target to call toll free 1-866-582-3462. It has no business name or address so I knew it was a scam but I called the # and a man with an Indian accent answered ," hello thank you for calling what's your claim number please" he never said a business name. I hung up.
