Received letter in the mail with correct name, address and vehicle requesting to call to report VIN number by a specific date (giving me 4 days) and more or less threatened the loss of vehicle coverage if I did not. It did not specify the business name or location, or supposed program the person mentioned in the letter. I promptly threw it away.

Recieved a letter that states my car warranty is about to expire and that i need to contact them immediately. Googling the phone number brought me to this site. My biggest concern is that they have my home address and the type of car I drive.

Letter stating the company represented Chevrolet. The upper left hand corner said, "2024 Chevy Malibu LT Official Business, Penalty for Private Use $300. Important Vehicle Information ". The Center, in large bold letters, says "Time Sensitive".

They used my name & address and the year, make & model of vehicle. One third down was a dark gray section with a black line around it. Inside that box, in BOLD black letters, UNDERLINED, was "THIS LETTER IS TO INFORM YOU:". It goes with the following parts in BOLD BLACK LETTERS:

"...HAVE NOT CONTACTED..."

"Please call us at 1-888-413-6075 before 1/24/2025 to confirm your eligibility. "

Under the box, in large bold letters was."ATTENTION:" My name was beside it in regular font.

The following is how their warning begins.

"Please call (in bold numbers) 1-888-413-6075" with VIN and current mileage before January 24, 2025.

Our records indicate that you have not contacted us regarding the vehicle service contract on your vehicle.

By neglecting to activate your coverage you will be at risk of being financially liable for any and all repairs after your factory warranty expires...."

At the end of their notice it is signed "Sincerely, Mark Smith, Program Coordinator, 1-888-413-6075".

Next is a final dark gray bar outlined with a black line. Inside the box, in bold letters, is written:

" Operating Hours: Mon - Fri: 7:00 am to 7:00 pm CST, Sat: 10:00 am to 4:00 pm CST".

I recently purchased a new car, and I have received a letter in the mail saying that I needed to activate my warranty for my car and I had a certain date to activate this warranty by. I then called just to see what this was about when on the phone, the man that I spoke to was extraordinarily rude calling me a dumb teenage girl telling me that if I did not pay him $649 upfront today that my car essentially would be unusable in the future. He then went on to tell me that I had a few options as to how I could pay this warranty. I’m assuming people are falling for this because it seems extraordinarily real. They used Chevy as their name which is the company I bought my car from. After this man had gotten done yelling at me, I had asked to speak to the supervisor who offered me a better deal on a warranty, which would be essentially a six year warranty on my car that if anything was to go wrong, they would replace it. I would just have to pay $100 today and then $100 each month for 18 months, I got extremely upset. I had a massive panic attack while I was at work and was unable to work the rest of the day then the person I bought my car from who stated that this is most likely a scam. I also copied and pasted the phone number into Google and a website came up that said in all caps Warning don’t fall for auto warranty scams. I would like this company completely abolished because they are trying to scam people out of hundreds of dollars if not thousands they also have information about my car which I don’t know how they got. They also have My address and my phone number because I called them.

Asking for car in and village

- Rochester, MI, USA • Jun 26, 2024

Received two letters in the mail saying I need to respond within 5 days because I “HAVE NOT CONTACTED” them about getting my “service contract up-to-date”. The letters are signed by Mark Smith Program Coordinator with the phone number (888)413-6075.

- Hastings, MI, USA • Jun 22, 2024

I have called these [censored] back several times to quit harassing me about “Ford Eagle Ford Tanks. First of all, that’s not even a real vehicle, I have told them that, but apparently they’re too ***** stupid to understand English. I have a 2008 Chevy Silverado, and the warranty on that ran out many miles ago! It’s getting annoying, and I’m about to sue if they don’t stop harassing me.

- Ferndale, MI, USA • Jun 21, 2024

The letter says that I own a 2024 Kia Forte GT that needs coverage. I do not own that car and have never owned that car.

The person claimed to be an auto warranty company, intimidating me to give them my personal information

- Elkhart, IL, USA

First, he called my 16yr old daughter to talk to her about our car. Her name isnt on anything but he knew her name and the car info. She told me about it and gave me the number to call him. I called, he tried to tell me about a car warranty, i told him he better never be calling my teenage daughter again. He said he would block her number but he didn't have it to block it.

- Pittsburgh, PA, USA

Similar to reported, I have never reached out to this company, I’ve never heard of this company so I definitely don’t have a warranty through them. They’re demanding information and threatening to cancel a warranty I don’t possess. The letter did not have a return address on it and is a copy paste of the other letters I read about here with a different date on it.

- Nashville, TN, USA

They asked for my vin number and wanted activate a policy and wanted my credit card information for it.

- Kalamazoo, MI, USA

Car warranty claiming I am not protected (I am) and making it seem like there will be legal action taken if I do not call

I recently got my car registration back for my new state and they spelled my last name wrong in a way that is not a real last name. This person used that same spelling, so they 100% got it from some database of car registration.

- Pittsburg, KS, USA

I keep being called by someone claiming to be from "service center" trying to sell me a car warranty. I have told them to stop calling me several times.

- Pocatello, ID, USA

They call using a california number but leave a bogus 888 number I have to say they're getting better with the warranty scam. Usually can't call the number back except today was a good day the california number worked and now I'm reporting these people need to be stopped

- Dayton, OH, USA

Robo call offering car warranty. We don't have one.

- Wilmington, DE, USA
