Received text and proceeded to call number provided, but with great caution. Call answered by speaker who was not a native English speaker. Directed to download an app ConnectWise. Highly suspicious. Instructed to go into phone settings to show under data analytics what data was being accessed and that needed to be removed. While on phone I researched the website from which the text message came and I questioned the tech about it who said it was an email platform with a secure site. No other links on site. Just a black screen. Suspicious. Continued to ask questions and tech became impatient but was very convincing. Visited apple’s site to know how to deal with phishing texts and sent a snapshot of it to the email provided. Caller hung up when I continued to ask questions and researched other sites. Waiting to hear back from Apple.
