We had a company install a water filter along with furnace air cleaners years ago. A few months later they came back and they forgot to add the nest thermostat and cameras that were part of that. We got a $15,000 bill for the nest equipment and we owe about $9000.00 still. Then recently someone from that place came back saying they are trying to make these previous items void but it would take 1 1/2 yrs. and the will be installing an electrical panel protector in case of a lightning strike and do a home evaluation on where the home may be having any air leaks and seal them. The cocked up 1 door and a window but the 2nd flor was not touched. I was left no paperwork about this. They needed a void cheque for $9.00 to start this process. I now believe this is a scam and I have notified my bank about this too. we are in the process of closing an account and going to stop payment on any withdrawls but the bank needs a name and address so we have to wait.I have no paperwork to date so I wait now to see what happems.
