So today, I was contacted by three different people. I was told to create an account on elitetrustfunds.com. The person I was corresponding with transferred $750. I never received a welcome email or any other correspondence from this website. I reached out to the chat and asked how to retrieve my money because the withdrawal option wanted a card number to put the money on. I was told that my account was not active and it would be another $250 and then I would instantly receive the money back. I’ve never had to pay a sum like that to open an account with a financial institution. So this misadventure cost me $175 for the chickens: $750 for the transport: with a request for another $550 to receive the birds and/or get my money back. They refused to use Zelle or ApplePay. Shame on me.
