A Mike Henry called from the Federal Trade Commission and stated that my husband had won a seven and one half million dollar prize and a car from Publishers Clearing House. He wanted to know if he had been contacted since the money has not been claimed and this prize has been turned over to the FTC for their investigation. He was never contacted by anyone from Publishers Clearing House. He was not asked for any personal info but did receive, by email, a letter from Mike with a Publishers Clearing House logo on it stating the prize and the rules to receive it. My husband’s last name is totally wrong on the letter and there are grammatical errors throughout. The letter also states that a fee to cover the IRS taxes on the prize would have to be paid first before we receive a check, which we would never do.
