We received a bill from unfamiliar company. It first had no description of what for
I called # snd the lady i talked to said she would send itemized bill. It was for cyto path cellular some kind of urine test for cancer. My mother was hospitaluzed for congestive heart failure. We knew she wadnt going to live to go home. Date of service was for oct 25th the day after she died. South subutban laborstories filed claim with moms aetna advantage plan. They denied but said our share was 100. We would not have approved a cancer test to be done this stage of her end of life. I called south suburban shain and asked whst dr ordered test. Dhe couldnt tell me. She then wanted me to send copy of feath certificate. I didnt and did not pay. I think the bill eas thrown away. My brother was handling her bills snddecidedddd this was not payable as she was dead at date of service. I just felt like it should be reported. Checked out and stopped . Someone else might not catch the scheme and pay. It was at a difficult time for us.
