This scammer emailed our clinic looking to make an acupuncture appointment for their daughters, Mia and Ella Anderson, in August. They stated they are hearing impaired and preparing for surgery so they wanted to communicate by email. They asked for the cost of the initial visit and a follow up visit for both daughters and stated that their assistant will be sending the payment via check. They also asked for my personal number to communicate via text but I declined. They emailed back saying their assistant mistakenly requested a check for $4,400 from their manager, which was a lot more than the cost we quoted. They requested we cash the check and refund them the difference, which we declined. They even offered an additional $100 for the inconvenience.
