A "recruiter" reached out to me about a C-suite position that was available. They asked for my resume and led me to believe they would then send a confidentiality agreement to discuss the role. Of course after receiving my resume they told me it wasn't ATS-friendly.

I happened to have a copy that was so I immediately sent it and was told it wasn't good enough and to use the site they previously mentioned.

This was a clue that I was dealing with a scam. After I brought up that executive recruiters don't need to use ATS systems the communication ceased.

In my research I found the domains they are using are only a couple of months old. The website they've created makes it appear as if it's been in existence since 2000 but that's untrue. It's all a front to force you to use the service they're promoting.

A man claiming to be named John Taylor contacted me through text and started a virtual interview for a Data Entry Clerk job over text. I thought the whole thing was suspicious, so I looked the company up on Google and found the ScamPulse.com page about the scam business. The details offered in that posting match the details of my encounter. I haven't even finished the interview yet as I opted to stop responding when I discovered this information.

On 12/22/2023, I received an email (I have a copy of) indicating that my resume had been approved for employment with SIG. So, on 12/28/23 I responded back to the email letting the sender know that I was still interested if the position that posted: Project Manager, CS and Data Entry. I gave the time of my availability for an interview.

Then on Friday December 29, 2023, I had my interview with Henry Daniel over Skype. Skype became our primary form of contact. I was hired for the job and on December 30, 2023, I signed an employment offer letter from SIG Susquehanna.

Soon after that I started receiving checks by email to print off, take a picture and then deposit it into my checking account. I was told that I was going to or needed to complete this action so I could make the purchase needed for my work equipment. Once the checks were deposited, I then was instructed to send a certain amount to my cashapp. Once the money was transferred to my Cashapp. I then purchased a certain number of Bitcoins.

I continue to ask about my equipment, and he would tell me that we have not sent them enough money (bitcoin).

One day Henry asked me to take the checks that were emailed to me and shred them. Also, I received a check in the mail with a letter title “Fund/Check Management” which gives different institutions on how to use the checks. I received (2) two of them I shredded one and I couldn’t find the other at the time of the shredding. But I have located the second letter and I still have that letter.

I have copies of receipt of Bitcoin purchase, copies of transfers (Zella) from my bank 5th 3rd, and then I have copies of the withdrawal of BTC.

I have our conversation from December 29, 2023, on skype to current day copied on a word document. There are things that didn’t copy but I still have access to skype.

If you have any additional questions or need any additional information, please reach out to me at 615-977-1560 or [email protected].

I received an email by a woman named Alisha ([email protected]) and was told that she found my resume on CareerBuilder and I was selected as a potential employee for the Ping An Group. I was told that I was invited to interview via Zoom or Microsoft Teams. After successfully completing the interview, I was told that I was selected for a Customer Service position that was $20 per hour for training and $39 per hour salary. Anyone who loves to work from home would jump to this opportunity, so I did. Immediately I was told to sign an "employment offer letter" that was sent to me from someone named Stella Huang ([email protected]). She pretended to be an HR Representative and corresponded that she was here for any questions I had and was " looking forward to working with me" which made me feel like this was all legitimate. After signing the document for employment, I was told to print out a paper cashier's check and load it into my bank account to order software from their trusted vendor which I attempted multiple times and was unsuccessful (Thankfully). A poser by the name of Alfred Williams tried to have me download all types of money apps to my phone (Cash-App, Venmo, Zelle etc.) in order to force their way into my checking account. After about a week and a half of trying I realized that I was targeted by these people who posed as one of the Top Insurance companies in China. Should you ever receive a request to interview for a position with the Ping An Group PLEASE do your research before you sign or provide ANY personal information.

They contacted me about a possible remote job for a start up company. We emailed back and forth for a bit, discussed the job, and they called me the next day. The voice was really mechanical sounding and strange. Upon googling the number I found this scam from the BBB.

I received an email saying they were a recruiter and my background would be good for a job they were hired to fill. They did not have an overview of the potential job and requested my resume. Once they received the resume they said it needs to be “ATS compatible formatting” and sent a link to complete this - ******************************/

There website did not have a phone number and she was not on LinkedIn.

I have resume out on several different recruiting websites. I was sent an email from 615-909-3652 (probably a burner phone) asking if I would like to work from home. I was invited to go to the link in my previous page to hook up into Microsoft Teams. I did so. A "John Ward" was my contact person and we sent messages back and forth for about 20 minutes. Then it became to good to be true - "Work from Home" "$37.09 and hour" "Full Benefits" etc....Ground breaking new opportunities, whatever. The only info I gave was my full name City, State and phone number. No banking info etc...
