They have a link up on Facebook. They pretend to Dicks Sporting Goods. I paid $31 for a coat that never came. They emailed me a fake tracking number and fake receipt. When you click the tracking link it leads nowhere. There is also no phone number.

They are advertising on Facebook as Dicks Sporting goods about having a sale on shoes if you by. 3pair your get form$45 and ect. The more you buy the cheaper deal you get. They take your order send you a email. With order number and tracking number but doesn't have a carrier just the tracking and it keeps you informed on the tracking up until it says the package has been delivered to you and which it hasn't and still no carrier listed. I called dicks sporting goods and they informed me that I was scammed that they don't advertise on Facebook and they don't have sales like that.

I was under the impression that I was shopping on Dicks Sporting Goods website and I ordered a pair of shoes for my daughter for Christmas and after I completed the order I went to my email to look at the order information and get the tracking number and I realized that nothing about the email was correct. I contacted Dicks Sporting Goods store to confirm my order info and they stated they did not have an order from me and that it was a scam. I submitted a fraud claim with them. I emailed the scammer and asked them to cancel the order and issue a refund, they refused to acknowledge that I wanted to cancel and kept telling me my order was on the way. I was given a tracking number and I tracked the package for 45 days until it said delivered which it was not delivered and I contacted them again and they stated there was a logistics issue and they would issue a refund. However a month later I have still not received a refund and now there are 2 more charges on my credit card that I did not authorize. I have now disputed the charge from Christmas and file a fraud claim with my credit card company about the 2 additional charges. My credit card has now been cancelled so hopefully this will not happen again.

I ordered from dicks sporting goods discount shop I thought and I'm sure it's a scam

An ad appeared on my Facebook feed offering highly discounted Ugg slippers and boots. The ad lead to a website that mimicked Dick's Sporting Goods. I purchased two pairs of slippers and received a purchase email with less than authentic descriptions of the purchase. There was a link to a package tracking website that I wtched closely for just over a month. The package was "tracked" from China, to California, then to Illinois (my forst really big red flag because I live in Washington state...the opposite direction), then to Florida, then over a month after I "purchased," the package read "delivered." I was home at the time of the alleged delivery and no packages were delivered for that entire day to my house. In the interim between the purchase and the alleged delivery, my debit card information that I used to make the "purchase" was stolen and I had to replace it. The flagged incident of the card being stolen was two different transactions of $2 from "Facebook." I never pay money to Facebook and my bank caught the fraudulent activity in time to prevent any more money being taken. So, a month later, I am down $49.99 and I don't have any Ugg slippers. And I needed to go through the trouble of replacing my debit card.

An ad appeared for Dick's Sporting Goods in my Instagram feed for Hoka tennis shoes. The ad claimed that Hokas and other tennis shoes were up to 90% discounted. Scrolling through the ad, I found a pair that I liked/my size and proceeded to order them.

Just after completing the transaction, it occurred to me that there was something not right with the page. I checked the ad copy - no misspellings or odd text of any kind. Then I checked the URL. It reflected dicks-specialoffers.shop. That is not the correct website for Dick's Sporting Goods.

I immediately contacted my credit card company, reported the fraud, and canceled my credit card. Unfortunately, we are unable to dispute the charge ($37.98) until it posts to the account.

I flagged the ad as fraudulent with Instagram. I copied the full URL of this scam/spam site: https://www.dicks-specialoffers.shop/?fbclid=PAY2xjawIDcgBleHRuA2FlbQEwAGFkaWQAA... />
Following the purchase, I received two emails from Sporting Goods Outlets, aka [email protected] via mailshopline.com. One emailed confirmed a Subscription to Sporting Goods Outlets. The second email was the receipt for the purchase. I marked each email as Phishing to Microsoft Outlook.

Fraud Reports were filed with the FTC and IC3.

I attempted to purchase a pair of shoe online. Then the scammer add came up on Facebook as Dick’s online store. I made payment and didn’t get a receipt or tracking order number. Then I had to visit the original site to track my order and realized it was a scam.

Description

Website was made to look like Dicks sporting goods and included Dicks logos. After I made the purchase I received a text from my bank asking me to respond yes/no as to whether I made the purchase, there was a phone number as well so I called that instead and was told since I didn’t respond with yes/no they assumed the transaction was ok and wouldn’t refund my money. Purchase appears on bank statement as ROMORYMSUSD STERLING CO

I ordered a pair of sneakers online. Seller presented as Dicks Sporting Goods. It was later identified as Victory Business out of Singapore via my bank statement. I received notification that my purchase had been delivered at 11:32 on 9/21/2024. On 9/23 when I still had not received my purchase I reached out to the customer service email.
