I ordered a swimsuit on May 28th, I received an email stating suit was shipped on May 31st. I wrote several emails to company asking why I hadnt received it yet. Received no response from them. Called number, like others mentioned, its disconnected. I got another notice stating it shipped on July 20th. We finally received it August 20th. Cute suit, but summer is almost over! I have never had a pkg take this long in shipping!

I ordered 1 swimsuit on July 19, 2020. It is now September 4. I still have not received it. The phone number listed “cannot be completed as dialed.” I’ve tried to online chat with customer service, which is all in some kind of Asian language, that I cannot understand. I’ve emailed them twice and never heard back! I want my $30 back! This is illegal! Someone help me!

Placed an order and did not receive it for 2 months. When I did and needed to return the item (didn't fit properly), I emailed them as per the website to initiate a return but did not receive a response. I emailed a second time a few days later - still no response. I also tried calling the phone number on their website but it says it is not in service!

Same thing happened to me. I made copies of my receipts because they don’t include one in the order. Under their return policy you have to send the products back to Canada ... which cost me 32.00. I had a 75.00 order so I figured at least I could recoup some of the money. I’m afraid I won’t get refunded. I regret dealing with this company at all. I feel totally ripped off!

Took well over 2 months for my order to arrive. Also Customer Service (if you can call it that) never responded to the follow up email I sent. 1 star. Do not recommend. I will not be ordering from this company again.

***IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ THIS***

To get your refund, is all you have to do: Call your bank to get your full refund, submit proof of purchase along with screen shots of testimonials like these.

You are absolutely not going to get a refund, or even a response, from Curvy Waves. They have NOT responded to their e-mails since before the pandemic. Before that time, their business practices were shady and suspect. If your bank requires further proof of the company's deceipt, then screenshot other reputable websites (like the Better Business Bureau) to show proof of Curvy Wave's con game. Again, most banks require proof of fraud. Screenshot and submit the reviews to your bank when you file your complaint (your individual bank may require different things from you, or nothing at all. It just depends on your bank's fraud policy).

Some twisted person is making thousands of dollars out of unassuming customers. Curvy Waves isn't a company - it's a scam site run by Shopify. I've already complained to them, and reported the scam to my bank (got a full refund, too).

Proof of the scam:

This fake company runs under the guise of a legitimate business. Look at the About Me section of the Curvy Waves website. It features a photograph of a beautiful woman beside a wholesome monologue with "girl power" tropes. If you do a "reverse image search" on the photo of the so-called founder, Melissa Aurora, you'll find that the site's web designer used an old stock photo of a Russian woman. The phone number has never worked, and several other fraudulent online point-of-sales use the same number on their webstores. Pretty Little Bikini, and an online shoe store, are ALL linked to the same disconnected phone number, they ALL use stock photos and fake "About Me" stories.

I went a step further, and did a reverse image search for ten or so of the bathing suits on CW's website. The images of the bathing suits originate from a myriad of places, most of which being defunct Russian online stores. I will not link them here, since the sites may contain viruses. I will post screenshots for you. Other sites that contained the same products include Ebay and Overstock. This proves that their product stock never actually belonged to this brand originally, which strengthens the notion that Melissa Aurora (the site's company owner/found) never existed.

These are some clever thieves.

I have filed a complaint with my bank, Shopify, and also with the BBB. I considered going to the FBI about this. Before I realized I was scammed, I sent the company several e-mails (no response, of course). I also tried calling the number, which was disconnected. They even blocked me on their Instagram page, so I made a new one and called them out further :)

There are complaints by the thousands on Instagram, Youtube, and online about this crooked site. I should have done my research before hand - but heck, the site looked so legitimate. Buyer beware, I guess.

Sorry that this happened to you, ladies. I hope my advice helped some.

Warm regards, Joanna

I, too, wish i had done my research before giving them my $$$.
I’ve been waiting on 1 swimsuit since July! Im just curious if you have had luck going to your bank and getting THEM to issue a refund for your purchase?
I have not tried to yet. I guess part of me is still hoping I get my damn bathing suit!
Thank you for all of the info you shared!

I did finally receive my swimsuit I ordered and I love it. Not sure why it took as long as it did.

+1

How long did it take?

This is NOT LEGIT. If its too good to be true it, it is. I ordered two swimsuits that NEVER came. Luckily I ordered from another site and got my swim suit before leaving on vacation. Let me save you time go to SWIM SUITS FOR ALL. Great swim wear and you do get your merchandise.

I loved my suit that I ordered from Swimsuits For All! Stupid me, left it hanging in the bathroom of our hotel room in Ocean City, MD! I discovered I left it there as soon as I got home-maybe an hour later! I called the hotel, the receptionist said she was going to go check-never heard back. I called again the next 2 days and was always told the same thing-going to look for it, but never called back!
I loved that damn bathing suit! I literally wore the thing 3 times!??
Anyway-glad to hear you liked yours as well. AND got it in time for Vacay!

I’m the dummy not understanding the “extra swimsuit” button! You guessed it - I ordered TWO swimsuits AND I got the extra swimsuit at a discounted price. So now I have paid for FOUR swimsuits to a total of about 150 USD!

I do lots of buying and selling on the internet, and this is the first time I have ever been stolen from. And that’s exactly what it is - THEFT. I paid through PayPal, so I’m checking that out next. By the way, the phone numbers are international numbers. If I remember correctly, there are other numbers in front of the ones they have published - a country number?

Email me at [email protected] if you have a moment - to let me know if anything came of your order and payment. Still, I am hoping to have a swimming suit - let me know how your story ends. Thanks!

Hi there, Barbara! I've complained to the BBB and FBI about them :) They run a myriad of other scam sites. Here is some proof of their con. I am sorry this happened to us.

Warm regards,
Joanna

I ordered two swimsuits in June of 2020 this year. You are not able to call them or contact them. Why do we allow these companies to take advantage of the American consumer? I’m out over $6500 and no way to get money back or my order.

+1

I ordered 2 Tankini’s from this company in June 2020 and now it’s August. Swimsuit season is almost over. You can’t email or call this company. Did receive a text that because of COVID 19 they are having trouble filling the orders. I’m just sick of other countries take advantage of the American Public Consumers. I’m out over $65.00 and still have nothing to show for it.

I have had the same experience. I ordered two swimsuits in June 2020. They took over $65.00 of my money and located in Australia. Still no swimsuits. I guess they will appear when the snow flies in Oklahoma

2 months ago I ordered 2 swimsuits, then I ordered another a week later. I got scammed, too. I always ck reviews ahead but I didn't find any on them. They took about $85. Just hope they need the money more than me!

I placed an order on July 5, I have tried to reach this company via their customer service and constantly have been told the items have shipped. My order is still sitting in processing. It has been over a month and they will not refund my credit card.
DO NOT under any circumstances order from this company! They just take your money.

+1

They will not refund you, dear. They are not a real company. Go ahead and start a fraud claim with your bank. Submit a screenshot of the reviews featured here. If the require futher proof, feel free to send them the following pictures :) It's the research I've done on the site's owner in the About Me section, along with proof that their products aren't real. Rather, the website features stolen images.

I purchased a bathing suit from a website called curvywaves.com for $38.94 after shipping. I was warned that the item might take one to three weeks to arrive. It has now been over a month and any attempts to contact by email have gone unanswered and their phone number is not a real phone number. This made me look into the company online and I see that MANY other people have had a similar experience with this company.

+1

They're a scam, dear. You're never going to get your product, but banks typically refund your money. If your bank needs proof of the scam, screenshot this website's reviews, and submit the following pictures :) I hope this helps!

Ordered 2 suits from CurvyWaves in May. Received an automated response that due to covid-19 there may be a delay. It is now August and my emails for update requests are bouncing back.

+1

Basically the same experience as everyone else here. I ordered 2 bathing suits in june and still nothing. No working phone number no contact info at all. Please is there a way to have their site taken down.

Don't be scammed like I was. I wish I would have seen the reviews for this website before I placed an order with Swimcurvy.com. I bought a tankini at the beginning of June. It arrived the beginning of July. They sent me a one piece swimsuit instead - something I do not wear. I have been writing with them literally every single day. They respond each time. They just won't honor their own return policy. This is a total 100% scam. Don't order from this website. You'll save yourself time, money and aggravation.

At least you received something. I received nothing and they won't refund my money.

DO NOT order from curvy waves! I ordered a bathing suit in June and NEVER got any response except to say that due to covid there are delivery delays, nothing more ever! There is absolutely no way of tracking your order and no way of contacting them! The telephone number, email and even the links are not available! This is absolutely a scam!

Please please do not give these people your money!
