I applied to a data entry job posted on indeed. It was by “Corewell health” they had me download signal. An instant messaging app for “secure” communication. After answer some

standard interview questions online. I was offered a job but the offer made less and less sense. They got my cell number and email address but luckily no financial information.

I have screen shots of our conversation.

I applied for a Data entry position on Indeed.com. i received an email the next day to contact Barbara Brock hiring mgr at Corewell Health to set up an interview via Signal messenger. I did and she sent me an interview questionnaire to fill out and then told me about the job and the company. She said she would be getting with admin and let me know of a decision. Later in the day i received an email that i got the job and that Barbara would contact me about training and office equipment. She then told me i would receive an e check to purchase office equipment and to deposit the check into my bank account. I did. I told her the funds would be available the next day. She said to let her know. I told her the next day they were available. She said she was setting me up with an agent to help.me purchase my equipment. She then connected me to Jennifer Rodgers via Signal messenger app. (763-620-5898. Jennifer asked me to transfer the deposit of $890.00 to cashapp to start my equipment purchase. I tried and it would not go through. Cashapp said it was blocked for my protection. She proceeded to tell me to keep trying. It still would not go through. I started to get suspicious and googled the phone number. I saw there were scam stories attached. I then contacted the bank, credit reports and froze everything. They are still reaching out to me. I have asked for a phone number to the HR department, but no reply. I asked Jennifer why I would need to transfer the money to cash app if i deposited it into my bank. She replied that it was a secure and efficient app to complete the process. I'm glad i caught on before it was too late.
