Got scammed by CanadaVin.com

A couple of days ago, I offered in Kijiji mi vehicle for sale, and after a few minutes I got a text message from a number not even located in the city where I live in Canada; it was from Florida, US., inviting me to "set up" a meeting for the next day in a specific address in the city where I live (Calgary). After asking my name and location, he/she asked for the CanadaVin report as a condition to meet. I paid $40 for the report, which resulted to be absolute useless. The number that texted me was +1 (786) 591-1513. If you get pushed to pay for a [censored]ty report from this website, please block the number and run away!

Type of a scam Online Purchase

Selling a vehicle on kijiji, received a text from an interested buyer. We made a time and date for viewing the vehicle. Then he asked me to provide a vin check from Canadavinhistory.com which might even be a legit website. But I think this website is hiring people to set up fake meet ups and having them spend money for vehicle reports they aren’t going to use.
