Phone call - man with Caribbean accent said 'hello' - I said hello - he said 'hello' again, 'can you hear me?'. I said 'yes' - immediately after I spoke, I remembered this was a scam I'd heard about long ago in the news. I don't know what will happen from here on out - I will need to keep a close eye on my bank and credit card statements.

Received a call from 757-252-1448 on 7/16/18 at 11:59 am EDT. Caller said this call was being recorded for training purposes and he was James from the Mortgage Center. He asked if I could hear him and I said yes. He then hung up. It then dawned on me that he was recording me to get me to say yes and I fell for his scam. I am unsure how this will affect me and I do not know what to do next. I knew better to say yes, but I was rushing out of the door for a Dr.'s appointment.

This is one of those "say yes" scams where the person on the other side of the phone asks a question that you respond "yes" to. Unfortunately, the call woke me up from a nap, so I ended up saying yes. This just happened, so I don't know if they've used my recorded voice to scam me out of any money yet, but I will be watching my bank accounts closely.
