Got a call from 504-605-0633 they initially asked for my Michael and I said wrong number they then said I may be able to help and were sending out packs for you to contribute to veterans and the VA for vets from Afghanistan. They wanted to know if they could send me a sponsor packet to look over I said I usually don't do anything over the phone but then I said yes go ahead and then they hung up. I immediately got a bad feeling about that and thought of the scam about saying yes. So now I am very worried.

Caller asked for me by name, and I responded, "This is she." He said he was raising money for the DAV and asked if I would make a donation. I said I would consider it, so he offered me a choice of color coded envelopes, red for $100, white for $50, or blue for $20. I chose blue, then he repeatedly asked, "Would that be OK?" I realized that he was trying to get me to say "Yes" so I hung up.

I received a call on my landline from an unknown number. I answered the call and was asked "Is this Ms. xxxxx?" I answered "yes" and they hung up. I'd heard about the "yes" phone scam and should have known better than to answer the phone.

I believe this is the "yes" scam.

When I answered,the caller asked if I could hear them and I said yes. Then I realized they were not any business I recognized and hung up.

They muffled the greeting so asking if I could hear seemed appropriate.

Robotic calls with the exact same female voice and is calling from several different phone numbers including this one also: 770-427-7903. She begins by saying, "Oh, hello, are you there? You've stayed at one our resorts recently..." Then I hang out not listening to anymore of the message. These are SO annoying and if an elderly person answered, they'd really think that it was an actual person talking. These calls vary, sometimes one call from 1 number, then an hour later..the same call from a different number.

They called stating I was chosen to receive an all inclusive stay at their hotel. There were two prompts. Press one to continue, press two to be removed. When connected to someone, I was asked if I was over 18. After I said yes, a message saying the number dialed was incorrect and to hang up.

This scam number is a robot, calls every week! It says I've stayed at one of their resorts recently and I've won a free vacation at one of their resorts. The number has the same area code as my home phone, and on the caller id it says, "out of area". So sometimes I answer by mistake because I only see the area code first, thinking it's someone we know..

I have known about this scam so I rarely answer phone calls where I don't recognize the number, however this call came from a service I know my mother in law uses. She's been having a lot of health issues recently so I assumed the call was legitimate. I received a call stating it was from Life Alert. The caller acted like she could not hear me at first then asked if I could hear her. I responded yes, thinking she was about to tell me something going on with my mother-in-law. She asked a second time if I could hear her, then the line went dead. I immediately thought of the scam and tried to redial the number where it was stated that the number had been changed and could no longer be reached. The only information I have is that the caller was a woman (though possibly a recording) and the number, which is 770-328-3141.

The call on caller ID was a local number. When I answered, the phone line crackled and then they woman asked if I could hear her. I answered yes. She then tried to sign me up for a medical alert system. I told her my husband and I were not old enough for such a service. She did not let me get a word in edgewise and continue to go forward with her sale. I told her to take us off her call list and that we did not need the service. She hung up. I did not reveal any other personal information, financial information or address. I only answered yes to her initial question could she hear me. I called the number back and the woman who answered said her phone number had been spoofed and her phone provider said they could not do anything about it, that she had other people like myself call her with similar complaints.

The call said that I had won the opportunity to buy a trip t the Caribbean at an employee price. It asked me questions to try to make me say "Yes". This is used to falsely sell items to unsuspecting victims. I used a three stooges version of the word "sure", which was still a big mistake, but didn't totally catch on until the word was out of my mouth. It was too close the the real word "sure"
