Person coming on phone saying their headset isn't working and then asking if you can hear them. Then go on to say you stayed at a resort recently (which I haven't ) and then ask if it is ok if they transfer the call. They have called me countless times.

I believe this number is a scam call to get the person to say "yes" as this number has come up on caller ID and when they say "Hello" and I have said "Yes", they hang up.

Type of a scam Debt Collections
This number keeps calling my phone. Recently they left a message claiming that they are a debt collector attempting to collect payment on a debt and for me to return their call if I think there has been a mistake. When I attempted to return the call, the voice box was full. Neither the phone message I received nor the caller's voice mail indicate who the entity is. I do not owe any outstanding debts and I never have. I suspect this call is indicative of fraudulent activity. Please investigate.

I answered a call claiming to be Customer service. He introduced himself and asked if I could hear him clearly. I was expecting a return call from a customer service. I answered yes before I remembered a warning about this exact type of scam and immediately disconnected.
If this was a scam, what can I expect and what can I do to protect myself?

I picked up the phone and said hello, after which a lady said "Hello...I am sorry, I didn't have my headset on (which made it seem like a real person was on the line)...Can you hear me", to which I responded "Yes". Then she started talking about how we stayed at a resort with their company and that she had discounts for a cruise from Orlando, Florida. This was probably a recorded voice because I said "I am sorry, you must have a wrong number" but the voice kept talking.
