On Feb. 17, 2017 my phone rang at around 11:30am, and I am expecting a realtor call, and pick up and it has a name with "B" and I think it is my realtor and they say something very quickly and then say "Can you hear me", I answered "YES". I immediately contacted my bank and they put a note on my account of the occurrence. I had already answered yes before realizing it could be the scam. I did not give any other information to the caller but am concerned about just what this yes answer could do in the future, even without other info???

Got a call from what I believe is one of those "Yes" scams. They said there name muffled so I couldn't hear and than asked could I hear them. I said "Yes". They said I was eligible for a Disney Vacation discounted. That's all I heard before I hung up.

The caller asked to speak to my husband and I asked who was calling, he said his name was Charles and asked if I was Mrs. Schumacher, I responded by saying how can I help you, he then said "can you hear me" and I started saying "Yes I can" when the call was disconnected.

Like an [censored], I said yes, and then remembered I read about this scam in the newspaper just last week. We'll see if any damage comes up in the future. I could kick myself for falling for this scam.

Call is from local area code. When phone answered, female recording states "this is from the warranty department, can you hear me ok?" I read about this possible scam in a newspaper article and hung up immediately. The same number has called 3 times in less than 24 hours. No additional attempted calls from this number have been answered.

This was a "hello, can you hear me. . . oh sorry, there's a problem with my headset" call. The caller named Emily, who sounded pre-recorded, then said that I had stayed at one of their resorts in the past and that I was eligible for a vacation package. I did not respond and she kept talking. I then said "please don't call" and disconnected.

The 804 area code made me believe it was a local number that was calling me. I have been getting more and more calls from numbers/businesses that appear to be local even though they are scams/non-local.

They record you saying "Yes" to their First Question: Can you hear me OK? Then when you call the number back it tells you that the survey is over. The recording of you saying yes is used to purchase items and charge them to your phone bill.
