Fake job interview and check scam using Big Top Rentals name

Please be careful. I been doing several job applications with my phone number so it is not uncommon for me to receive job inquiry text. Unfortunately the one I received from someone going by the name of Angela Duncan was a text from hell. Shortly into the conversation she asked if I had zoom and would be willing to take part in an interview with someone by the name of Charles Bordner. I accepted and sent her my email address and was soon contacted by Mr. Charles Bordner and he begin conducting his interview by text via zoom. This was new to me but I took it as a test for my response time and punctuality. The interview by Mr. B ( or rather be Mr. B.S) spanned for a day a half. The questions he had made it seem like a real job interview and he even showed me the website for the company known as Big Top Rentals. The interview was completed half way through the second day of long interview questions and he said I would be receiving an email the following day. I received an email from an “[email protected]” it was a nice looking offer letter. I signed in returned it. I was convinced at this point that it was real and I would start work soon. This a when things took a turn for the worse. I was then informed about buying office supplies from a check they would send to me. They emailed me a check with instructions to mobile deposit it into my account. Luckily I’m not an [censored]. So I questioned the integrity and legitimacy of the check to Mr. Bs and Angela Duncan. They both assured me that the check was real and even sent me a copy of their business license. I tried verifying everything on bbb.org but couldn’t find anything good or bad so I am taking initiative to warn others! Attached is a picture of the zoom account that conducted the interview so everyone can be warned about the people using this real company to scam people seeking employment.

Received “Final Notice” letter in the mail, see image below. I did not respond as no company name was given, checked the given phone number via google. A scam was indicated. Aug 14, 2026
