Person called saying that my Aunt had an Amazon order being charged to her for $369.00. I asked which credit card was used to make the purchase and he said he couldn’t give that to me. He wanted me to give him some qualifiers and I would not. He kept insisting. And I hung up!

I received a phone call saying they had seen a suspicious charge and they were suspending the account to check into the fraudulent charge. They left a message rather than phone conversation. They were claiming to be Amazon's cyber security

Automated voice call to verify an Amazon order for an iPhone 11 for $999. Press 1 to confirm and press 2 is this is not accurate. I hung up.

Female scammer identifying herself as Ally called my mother and told her an iPhone had been ordered on her account for $399. She asked if my mother wanted to accept or cancel the order. My mother called me and gave me the phone number to call back. I called and asked for Ally and was given to a male scammer. I asked if his name was Ally and had he just spoken with my mother. He said yes and repeated what my mother was told. I said to cancel the order and he gave me a cancellation ID. He told me as soon as I was at my computer he would help me download and fill out the necessary form to cancel the order. I said I couldn't get to my computer until tonight. He said he would call back in the morning and immediately hung up.

Person called and said they were from Amazon Prime and the new rate was 40.00 / month and had already been charged to my account and if I wanted to cancel it and get it refunded back I had to fill out a Amazon Prime Refund/Cancellation Form. But when you filled it out the person said that I had made a mistake and forgot the period so was refunded 4000 dollars and not 40. The person would loose his job if he could not get the money back into the account before the manager saw it. I checked my account and there was a deposit for 4000 but I did not catch that it had bee transfered from another account, and was my money. I had to go to grocery stores and but gift cards totaling 4000 dollars and take a picture of the numbers so they could recoup the funds. I did that for most of it and then stopped when I finally listened to my self but by that time I had already sent them 3600 dollars. If they call then hang up and block the number. Do not worry about hurting their feeling because they do not mind taking your money.

Received a phone call from the local number listed above saying there was a purchase on my Amazon account (which I don't have) with the number AZ0987 for an Iphone purchase of $1,499. Said it was suspicious and they put a hold on it. Wanted to click 1 or 2 to confirm or report this purchase.

When 1 or 2 wasn't selected the call disconnected.

This call will say that they are calling to verify a charge for Apple Air Pods being charge by Amazon for $1000 to my credit card and if I did not make the charge press 1 now, when you do press 1 it goes to another connection to an India person, I told them I was going to report them to you. Now I am reporting this number to you. This is a scam!!

Yesterday I received seven recorded messages (a woman's voice) claiming that an unauthorized charge was made on my Amazon charge card: I checked both my Amazon account and the account of my bank issuing the credit card. No such charge was made.

4:49 PM Baltimore 1-410-488-7092 I called the number back and got a busy signal.

This morning at 8:22 AM I received a similar call. This time it was a man's voice. The caller ID said it was someone named Margaret Foley. The number was 1-508-866-9681. I called the number back. The lady I spoke with did not seem like a scammer.

What can I do to prevent these calls from continuing?

Name on the caller ID was ACCHO TALBERT

Email said they are from Amazon and my account is being charged I called the number they gave me on my email thinking about it I then called Amazon ( different) number and was told I have no charges in my account.

Don’t want anyone to have this problem thanking you in advance

Call (11:30 am today) said a charge of over $1000 was made on my Amazon account and they wanted to know if it was a legit charge. When I said, “nope, didn’t order anything recent, take it off” and then kept listing what I’d bought from Amazon recently (underwear, socks, batteries, cat food, etc..) none of which were even close to $1000 price tag, never giving my account number nor my credit card info, they finally just hung upon me. I’m sick of these scammers who target old people.

Received two telephone calls from supposed Amazon Customer Support informing me to select option 1 on the phone to learn about a large pending purchase on my account. I do not have an Amazon account and knew it wasn't genuine. Called the number that called me, a message stated it was not a working number.

I received this email so I called the number to confirm that I did not make this purchase they didn't answer the phone but they called me back I explained to them that I did not make this purchase he then said that someone was using my identity that he could help secure my Amazon account if I open up my Google Play with him still on the phone he wanted me to type in an address but I hung up. Total scam. I'm sure he already hacked my phone in the process

I received a strange phone call today from 480-280-2073 a recording said my Amazon Prime account was going to auto renew on my bank account they had on file for $39. I don't have an Amazon Prime Account. I pressed "1" to speak with someone and the person came on and he guided me to this website www.anydesk.com. He told me to download the AnyDesk software. He said by pressing the download button, this is how I would be able to cancel the Amazon Prime account from auto renewing. I did not download this and told him I was going to research this with the BBB. I did receive a call back from a similar number 480-280-1494 about an hour later and did not answer the call. I believe this was a scam to obtain personal information or to download a virus to my computer.
