indicating purchase of a $2,000 TV. While trying to figure out the purchase and cooperating with the "Amazon representative," I finally decided the caller wanted credit card information. Already having the last four digits of my credit card, she needed the expiration date. Although I ended the call, three hours later the scammer sent another email that appeared more authentic than the first. Since the incidents, I have reported the scam to Amazon and cancelled that credit card number.
At first, I had not noticed the sender's info:

Now Peter says that Amazon needs the money back, and it has to be B-2-B (between two business units) and I can’t possibly pay them personal, since that would be a violation of the tax agreements. The way I can do this would be to purchase gift cards - Amazon, GooglePlay, Apple, Target, Sephora, Nordstrom or vanilla visa card - either the same kinds or a combination of these, $500 on each to make up for the $12,600. I said I don’t have that much amount of purchasing limit, and he said it would be fine if we could get half of that, to save me from any trouble. I need to take my card and my driving license.
I went to Stop&Shop, Target, ShopRite and CVS to purchased 3 Target, 1 Amazon, 2 Nordstrom, 1 Sephora and 3 vanilla visa cards, each worth $500. After this, my credit card company have frozen my account (thankfully), and I told Peter that I can’t purchase anything anymore. They said they would call back again the next day (Jan 11, 2022), and they are disconnecting for today. Throughout the call Peter kept on saying that the call is being recorded and not to put him on mute, since that would affect his ratings with his superiors. He also said he appreciated the effort that I was making and would try to compensate me from his own salary. I was frustrated by this time, and I disconnected the call.
I started getting a bad feeling about this a couple of hours later, and did look up on Google to see if this was a scam, and realized I was scammed.
They wanting my bank account information plus email and got upset when I only gave my name and phone number which he had because he called me.
