I’ve totaled the transactions related to this impersonation scam, and the total is approximately $2,886. These transactions were made through a combination of Zelle and Apple Pay after someone impersonating the legitimate hairstylist convinced me that additional payments were required because of alleged payment processing issues. I have since spoken directly with the real hairstylist, who confirmed she was not the person communicating with me.
