I continually receive these text messages and I know it’s a scam. My concern is that others won’t know it’s a scam

Applied to a job (one of many, so it’s difficult to pinpoint which one triggered the email) on LinkedIn. Received an email from Terri Langley saying they received my application and would like to move forward with the hiring process after watching the video in the attached link.

I didn’t click on the link.

I did search my inbox to see if I’d received a follow-up email from the company like most do after applying. Nothing came up, so I assume it’s fake.

After applying to many jobs on any job board site, your data gets sold to the highest bidder. In this case, a seemingly ghost company that goes by “Brighthaul Freight” sunk its hooks in. They claim to be a shipping company that is trying to move you onto the next step of an application process that you’ve never consented nor applied to. Blocking them has made it so they contact you from different numbers and emails. Internet sleuthing says that they are a package mule company that would have you middle-manning stolen goods using your address and a shipping hub.

Was offer a remote online job. Like the first report or post, a girl named Emily Johnson texted me and offered me work and training. Seemed too good to be true, so I was slow playing the conversation with her for 2 weeks. Had a break in my own action, my job, and dig some digging. Was consistent with her story, asking if I could call her, facetime her about the job. A lot of excuses about "I'm on a call" or "busy working". Asked to schedule a time to talk with her, no reply. Sent me pictures of her morning breakfasts. Asked me day after day how I was doing? I asked for a selfie, sent me one. The girl is beautiful, so my gut is telling me they are using this picture and targeting males. I recently blocked and deleted the conversation on the WhatsApp app.

They posted a fake job on LinkedIn under a different name. They look for people desperate to find a job, lie to them about the job and use them without paying them. When I asked about the LinkedIn the lady said they “use a staffing agency” then during the first interview she tells me if they decide to follow through with me they will schedule me for another interview and then they will describe job description and compensation. I asked about the LinkedIn job posted as it already had job description and compensation and she gave a vague answer saying “it varies”. The office space they have was sketchy itself and I don’t want them to continue to mess with other people’s lives as I already see they have done so to other people on Reddit.

First email sent an hour before, saying I was rejected for a job I applied to. It came from an unknown business (no identifying information except Hire Now). Then a second email, saying I wasn't chosen for that first role but they had another one in mind for me.
