I was contacted by a person named "Jack Brown" via e-mail and was offered a remote job opportunity to work as a "Supply Chain Specialist" for "G & R Holding Co., Inc.". After doing my due diligence and intensive research about the company, I came to find out this was a total scam and fraud. Unfortunately, I was blind sighted with the fact that this individual named "Jack Brown" convinced me to accept the job offer which I never applied for and asked me to provide my detail personal information.

- Fenton, MI, USA • Feb 28, 2025

I was contacted by text message from Sarah Brumfield at N-Gene Research Laboratories in regards to a Data Entry Clerk position which was WFH. I was asked to send my resume and received an email back that I was a good fit and they would like to move forward with an interview. I received and email from Sarah ([email protected]) and after going to the website it looked legit. I was asked to do an online test and fill out a personal information form (it only included information such as name, address, and name of bank, so I did these. No formal interview was done. The next day I received another email that said they expedited the decision making and furnished me with an offer letter, so it was signed and returned. I have been texting and emailing for 3 days and no response. I called her number and went to straight to voice mail. Called their main number (212-605-0225) and that number was not set up to receive calls. Thank goodness I did not give any banking account numbers. Guess I am back to looking for a job.

Received a job offer for a job I never applied to or interviewed for with a website attached in the email. The company website has a series of stock photos with a company name on the polos of the individuals seen that doesn't even match the company name and one photo of someone's hand that doesn't even seem to match the rest of the photos or the message of the business. Additionally, no further information can be found for them on Google, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc. The links that they provide to their various social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, or X) lead nowhere.

I applied to a job listing on indeed.com for an E-Commerce startup promotion. With 5 years in marketing and having done startups before, I saw no issue. This was a full time offer with 26$hr pay and skillset in content creation. I was contacted for a group interview by "Karen Rivera" (My investigation afterwards revealed her true names Leidy Adara Voss) Immediately upon this zoom call she stated not knowing if we had brand ambassador experience (Why wouldn't a hiring manager review our resumes for qualifying skillset before an interview?) I begin to list mine and she cut me off. She stated she just lauched the site 2 months ago and needed brand ambassadors to BUY HER PRODUCT and promote on our own social media platforms (Nowhere in the application does it say we purchase her clothes to start work) I state that her current requests don't align with the job listing, and ask if I can instead focus on the content creation since Ive helped launch two other startups. She again interrupts me to say its not necessary since she has a busy team for that (You'll view in the links provided at the end that none of her social platforms for 720Luxus have any content or media) Another applicant asked about the frequency of pay and she says it's 100% commission and paid once a month (Again, completely different from the job offer) I ask why content creation was even listed as a requirement? She rudely states "Because thats how my business works, you buy the clothes to sell the clothes from your home. If this isnt good for you just exit the call" I was stunned. She lists the items she wanted us to buy from her (About 350$ total) and I say I'm uncomfortable with the many contradicting statements made by her as an employer since none of this was mentioned on the listing. She begins to yell at me and tells me to leave, then ends my call. I did not spend any money nor does she have my debit card information, but by using Indeed.com to trap real job seekers this woman has possession of my personal information by resume. My home address, phone number, email, recent employers etc. I don't feel safe or comfortable since she could be working with other criminals! This woman is clearly robbing applicants, and deeper investigation into her online marketplace I reverse image searched the items she requested I buy and was shocked to learn she just steals product images of other designers/vendors and doubled the price on her own site for US to purchase and sell from our homes. Please stop this woman from stealing time and funds from job seekers risking their livelihood and privacy. The way she spoke to me infront of other applicants, shes very comfortable and must have scammed unsuspecting job seekers many times before but it ends with me. A family friend posted my resume online. That day I was **contacted via text** by a "Sherrie Jones" at the phone number I provided. They set up a microsoft teams meeting with an "Anthony Campbell". This was a **text chat in Teams, NOT a video interview**. They asked me a lot of questions, and they said that the next step in the process was going to involve a video interview with Campbell's "superiors". However, the next day, they told me that they had hired me. I was immediately suspicious, and they initially said that I was going to start right away. However, I was looking for a summer internship, and when I told them this, they were extremely willing to accommodate, which only raised my suspicions. Eventually, I sent it to my father, who confirmed that it was a scam.

I received a text offering me a job interview with ANCHOR International. They said they got my resume from Indeed, but I have no record of that, and no application on Indeed for any company by that name. I looked them up and found their website (anchorinternationalco.com) and LinkedIn (https://www.linkedin.com/company/anchorinternationalco/). After more research online, I saw there were multiple reviews from people who'd experienced a similar sequence of events, so I canceled my interview. They also use the number 917-633-9724.
