Received two post cards followed by a letter all postage paid threatening to charge me for any and all repairs after the factory warranty expires on my vehicle. I called Hyundai and they confirmed it is a scam.

- Washington, PA, USA • Sep 30, 2024

Ok, not sure it is a total scam. But the ScamPulse.com gives this company an f rating, an other websites list a lot of complaints. My experience started with a postcard with no company name. I called asked the rep. The name; he told me it was Eleras. The postcard said I had five days to respond. I had no Internet at the time and wanted to check it out and the price was too high. Put me on the phone with a guy from the accounting department, who told me he could lower the price, but I had to pay them 159.00 then and there. Told him no, I'd check them out and call back. He hung up on me. Glad I did check them out. Called back again and told them I'd go with them if they could explain why they had an F rating with the BBB. They hung up on me again!

Letter staying my vehicle warranty has not been activated, and to call them. They have the make and model of the vehicle I recently purchased, but nothing else. It appears to be a phishing scam.

- Aurora, CO, USA • Sep 10, 2024

False warranty product, pretending to be a dealership, creating false urgency with messaging like “IMMEDIATE RESPONSE REQUIRED” and stating falsely that vehicle warranty coverage has expired. Fake product.

Claiming that my vehicle service contract and factory warranty, has expired and asking for money for additional coverage

- Las Vegas, NV, USA • Jul 24, 2024

I received a paper letter with my updated address to Big O' Tires who sold my personal information, for a vehicle listed as a 2021 Nissan Frontier which I have NEVER owned. Lists the phone number of 888-307-2017 to call by 7/24/24 to get "you still may have time left to activate coverage on your vehicle before it's too late". I called ***** ****** the Program Coordinator to claim my deletion from their hunting list but the loser who attended to me just hung up when I said the Conrad name. No business name or address on the letter -small print on the bottom says "All service contracts are through Evercare Direct"

Pretended to be an affiliate of audi etron corporate and wanted to extend waranty fraudulently!

- Pasadena, MD, USA • Jul 09, 2024

letter with my full name, address, year, make, and model and partial VIN.

"Our records indicate that you have not contacted us to have your vehicle service contract activated. We are informing you that if your factory warranty has expired, you will be responsible for paying any repairs. However, if expired, you can still activate a service contract on your vehicle before it's too late."

There is no company name or address. Just the toll-free number. By the way, my car is only 3-months old. So, my warranty is still good.

- Allegan, MI, USA • Jul 08, 2024

Letter in the mail without return address sent asking for personal information to extend a car warranty for a Subaru Forester and demanding me to reply quickly

- Bangor, ME, USA • Jul 08, 2024

Received a mail notice stating that, "our records indicate that you have not contacted us to have your vehicle service contract activated. We are informing you that if your factory warranty has expired, you will be responsible for paying any repairs. However, if expired, you can still activate a service contract on your vehicle before it's too late." They had all my vehicle information, my name and address, and requested I contract them by a predetermined date. The notice initially looks like a communication from my dealership prior to opening, and can be mistaken as one if read too quickly.

I received a letter -- at my Mother's, not my home address -- with a phone number to call and a customer ID number to extend my vehicle's warranty.

- Bellingham, MA, USA • Jun 27, 2024

I received a letter in the mail with a postal mailers mark permit #801. The letter said, “THIS LETTER IS TO INFORM YOU: That if your factory warranty has expired, you will be Financially Liable for all repairs. Our records indicate that you HAVE NOT CONTACTED us to get your service contract up-to-date. You have the option to protect your vehicle beyond the factory warranty. Please call us at 1-888-307-2075 before 6/26/2024 to confirm your eligibility.

ATTENTION: Leah Gibson

Please call 1-888-307-2075 with VIN and current mileage before June 26, 2024.

However, you still may have time left to activate coverage on your vehicle before its too late. Final acceptance is subject to your ability to meet eligibility requirements.

I received a letter in the mail advising the factory warranty for my Kia vehicle has expired and the letter wants me to call them to activate coverage for my vehicle. The name on the signed letter is James Conrad. The letter states the "amount approved" is "Platinum coverage". They have my address in order to mail me the letter and they know I purchased a Kia vehicle recently. The letter is vague and not on Kia letterhead but it does note "2023 Kia Soul" at the top of the letter. At the bottom of the letter advises when phone lines are open for CST and it also states "all services contracts are through Evercare Direct". The letter looks pretty official but is vague and it did not make sense to me that my warranty would have expired.

Scammer was posing as a official representative of Toyota saying that they needed my new car VIN number and mileage to continue the already purchased factory warranty. I thought it was a legit Toyota representative until they started talking about monthly payments that I did not agree to , before they got my credit card information. After I realized it was a scam I tried to say I did not want the warranty the "manager"/rep started threatening me saying if I did not get the warranty it would be like "not giving my newborn child a bottle or nutrition" and that there was nothing I could do about it and I am already signed up with no cancellation possible. ... he then proceeded to yell at me and being very rude.... I immediately hung up and cancelled the credit involved in the transaction. The so called "manager"'s name was Julian.

After responding to a letter received appearing to be from Toyota the salesman kept pressuring me to sign up for an extended warranty for my new car. Including immediate payment for a service which he did not even give me a quote on. He had my VIN# for my car printed on the notice also to make it appear as an official Toyota notice. He was very pushy and got angry when I questioned his business. I can see why some people might think he was legitimately a Toyota salesman and could be taken in by them. I did check with my Toyota dealer and he confirmed it is a scam.

- Winston Salem, NC, USA • Jun 25, 2024

They sent an official looking "Final Notice" that included a "Registration Fee Voucher" suggesting that the car I recently purchased had coverage that was expiring if I did not reach out ASAP.
