Less than a week ago, I was contacted by my former boss through FB. he told me to contact by agent John Smith from the Econimic Development Administration Program. They are asking for $4500 to pay taxes on a grant of $200,000. I am communicating simultaneously with John and Richard. They asked me a series of questions; including mothers maiden name, SS number, address, age, marital status, email address, deaf, text number, and a photo. When they got the info, they told me I was a winner, and asked for a copy of my drivers license, front and back, which I did. Then they asked if I owned or rented my home, monthly income, reason for applying for a grant - so I wrote home repairs. They are constantly persuading me to send the money, even though I tell them I don't have it. I told them I would have to ask my sisters for the money as I am on a pension. They objected and said it was very private, and not to talk to anybody about it. I told them it was a scam, and they say it's not a scam. A couple of years ago, my "cousin" contacted me saying the same thing. I knew that was a scam as she was 96 years old, then died, but they kept communicating with me.

she told me to get apple gift cards and send her the back and front of them she told me she worked for the irs she said the 80,000.00 we would get back for being disabled and retired i asked her if we would have to pay taxes on it she said no so it sounded too good to be true we did it and she kept on asking for some more i found her picture on facebook so we believed her that sounds sooo bad now she had a picture that said govt approved soo bad

A Facebook Friend said I could get a grant from the government, and I think it's a scam because he wants gift cards for 100 each to equal 2600, to get 90000

My brother in law suggested filling out an app for usaid to get some financial help. I was sent a specific link and when I reached out I told them who my brother was and told me they got $90,000. I was told for me to get the grant I would have to pay 1,000 dollars in gift cards, and that makes no sense. I did give them a picture or two of the ID so I am a little worried there. But it does sound fishy to begin with. I let the ScamPulse.com know

The name listed above is the individual that I spoke with in length about this. What threw the red flags on this was the following: Dear Lucky Winner you will have to make the payment of $1000 first thing on Friday and you will have to go to the Nearest store Near you and purchase an Apple gift card of $1000 and get back to me immediately.

They said this was for getting a grant. Red flag came down when they referenced having to pay to get money. No Dear Luck Winner you will have to pay the fee before getting your winning money delivered to your doorstep

I was contacted by a person pretending to be a friend / classmate stating I qualify for a grant due to my disability. He gave me the name government agency and she said based on my income I automatically qualify for a grant of at least 60,000 but in order to receive a fed ex package I need to pay handling fee of 400.00 if I didn’t have the full amount they would accept 300.00 and once I cashed my check I could pay it off.They sent messages from 2 elderly white men saying they made partial payment and once they received the payment through fedex we could settle . They kept having people pretending to know me contact me every one giving a different amount of the processing fee.

kept insisting not a scam, had me send vanilla prepaid cards. My "package" never delivered and I finally stopped sending cards. 19k lost. now trying again but a different person wants 200.00 to generate another code for my package. I told her to go pound tar. I could really use that money, she took my life savings and I had lost my job. Rotten people they are

I was contacted by ******* ***** a "friend" on my Facebook account. She knew that I wanted a grant for Orphans, She introduced me to "Agent " Larry Smith He.promised me grant for $ 50.000. Then he asked for a "transfer fee" for $ 50,, then $ 50, then $ 25,$ 25 no grant, then finally $ 2, 500.00

which I did not pay. He promised $ 300.000.00

I posted about needing help to care for my mom- she contacted me saying that they give government grants to help people. FFR or something like that. She has a copy of my id. Jamie Adams. I asked questions and her spelling and wording was off and then said she worked with state fbi and everyone knows that’s federal. Plus agent was spelled wrong. Another person Hector contacted me about her first then sent me the link. His profile disappeared so then I knew but it was too late- she/it/ they has my personal information. They sent videos of people who don’t speak English saying and holding up checks they received from all different banks. I feel so dumb. I have copies of conversation. There’s no profile attached to it.

Person impersonated a not close friend on Facebook. Mentioned if I heard of EHRN grant. I was already suspicious but played along. Offered a link https://m.facebook.com/people/AGENT-JAMES-SMITH/100091525263735/ which led to thi individual. Did not fully contact but got the info from my "friend". Sending to save people time and money

The woman's name is Cynthia Collins. She would contact me at work and at home. I paid $408.89 in gift cards, but I received nothing. She asked for $150 Today by Apple Gift card, and I blocked her.I want her arrested, and I want my money back.

I was told by the Scammer that I would get $30,000 in Government Grant money, but the catch was I must pay $500 first before I could get the $30,000 , once I paid the $500 they said I'm demanded to pay them $300 for another bull crap fee and when I paid that fee they demanded me to pay $800 for another bull crap fee , and it went on and on with the same thing until I caught on to there Scam, I told them to Refund my money and they Demanded me to pay another $300 fee just to refund my money which them never did. SCAM, SCAM, SCAM. I want my $1650.

A friend from 1970 messaged me on Messenger and wanted me to apply for a grant and such. I went to the link he gave me and talked with someone who said he was an attorney who was helping people to get government programs for free money but I had to pay them $500 to have the money sent to me. The thing is the two guys were double teaming me. That is when I told them I had no money and Was a lower class citizen I then stopped all contact

He said i could get $30,000.00 for $ 500. Cash . He keptt saying it was a grant money cash that i had waiting... he would help me fill out the forms. I gave him ny driver's license by pictures sent to him.. i also dent him my credit union card information... all of it... i have no money in that account. I sent a picture of it and gave him all on line information. He kept saying i would receive $ 30,000.oo... cash... .. but as he asked questions i did too. All along. When he asked me for my credit card information, i stopped and asked him why... since he was going to give me the $ 30,000. ??? Why... i gave him too much... it was my hoping to get some money that drove me on... also i thought my friend was urging me to do this. Really, i was bamboozled... i am 78 years old and i am very low income. Please help me. I want him stopped NOW. I DO NO WANT HIM TO BE ABLE TO SWEET TALK ANY ONE ELSE ANY WHERE.

I received a FB IM message from my niece. She said it's a legit govt loan from International Development. She told me she got a grant from the Federal Gvt directly deposited into her checking account. She told me to go to their FB. They asked me to pay $2000 to get $50,000. He said he was a good Christian and would not lie. He said once he gets the money, he will FedEx it to me, or direct deposit it to me. He wants a gift card.
