I was similarly contacted, by someone whose email address indicated they work for housecallusa.net (acc. to google, they do home inspections, termite treatments, and pest control). He said he was reaching out on behalf of NES Health, one of his "affiliated organizations." He said he had reviewed my background during a recent candidate search and said I should contact that same person, Laura Crum at neshcgrp.com, because my profile seems to align with an open proofreader position at NES Health. I googled the URL at the end of Laura's email address and it took me to a health center company, www.neshcg.com (similar URL). The site looks legit, although the building in the background of their home page appears almost AI (sign lettering appears to be gibberish). And the street address (39 Main in Tiburon, CA) places this big 50-year health corporation between an Italian restaurant and a sushi joint. And why would a termite inspector be funneling resumes to a healthcare corp.? I sent a few messages seeking more info, but with what I've read above I don't trust this whole thing at all.

Applied for a medical remote position on indeed, and Gohar Kehyan reached out to me via email. I was told reach out to Billy C Oliver via email at [email protected] to proceed with the interview process. I reached out and an interview was done through text chat via teams. I went through a 30 minute questionnaire and was told to report back the next morning to receive my results. The next morning I was told I was hired, and proceeded with the onboard processing, completing a W-4 Form along with the so-called company contract and direct deposit information. I was then emailed large check of $7899 and was told to mobile deposit this in my account as it is to be used to buy their "supplies" (work computer, etc). I immediately felt this may be a scam but I already gave up my personal information. I was not able to locate any phone numbers nor look up the members of the company from Neshcg.com. Very suspicious activity.

I applied for a job on indeed for a medical scheduler. A few days later I received an email from Grohar Kenyan, MBA, RN Director of nursing at remedy home healthcare. They told me to email their contact for hiring manager Billy C Oliver for more information. I then emailed Billy at [email protected] and received an email with a link for Microsoft teams and an attachment describing the position. The description also said that that would be a chap only interview in Microsoft teams with a 30 minute timed questionnaire. they did say that I had the job and they would be providing me information about sending me all the equipment needed insinuating they would need bank account information

I was approached by a recruiter via email and they sent me to the “Hiring Manager” named Laura Crum.

From there an interview was set up for a few days later. All communication was via text on Microsoft Teams. No video contact at all. The questionnaire felt very legit. It was from an official website and it was a timed task. I was told I would be notified 3 days later about the next steps. That was a Friday, so Monday morning I was told I was hired for the job. They sent over a W-4 form and contract. The contract seemed legit but it was sent via email by Adobe sign. Using the email [email protected].

This initial paper work was asking for very personal information such as SSN, bank information (for direct deposit), driver’s license, and passport. All information that is given to typical employers but normally without the red flags. Luckily I did not insert my information but I hope this can save someone else. Please double/ triple check these scam employers.
