- Cullman, AL, USA • Apr 14, 2025

I received a letter addressed to me, claiming that my home warranty was about to lapse and urging me to call immediately to avoid "unnecessary delays." It was signed by an Andrew Thompson, listed as the Program Director. Like others have reported, my letter stated the home warranty was administered by a company called "Warranty Global Group." It appears to be a phishing attempt, as it included my correct name, address, and even my lender information. Out of caution, I called the number provided—but from a different phone than my own. I was prompted to press 1 for English, then heard hold music. Shortly after, it sounded like I was being connected, but more hold music followed. I waited on the line for about five minutes, but no one ever answered, so I hung up.

Home warranty company sending letter like "FINAL NOTICE" and "IMEDIAT8ACTION REQUIRED" With my mortgage lenders name right on the front. Two aspects were particularly deceptive: using my lenders name on the front to imply my bank is trying to contact me urgently, and the body of the letter that implied my home warranty is about to expire.

- Arlington, TX, USA • Apr 09, 2025

I have received multiple letters from this same "company", attempting to get me to buy a "home warranty". They never give a legitimate address, email, or name, but do give me a phone number associated to "scammers" on your website. A phone number is my only means of contacting them, which I do not do. Their English speaking phone number is 877-499-4406. They have another number for Spanish - 877-515-1430. While they don’t give a LEGITIMATE name on their ad, they do leave a sentence at the bottom of the letter stating; "Superior Home Protection is not affiliated with your current mortgage holder." However, they don’t have my CURRENT mortgage holder’s identity.

Misleading mail notification disguised as coming from 'Lender Info: FANNIE MAE MORTGAGE'. "This notice is to inform you that the property's home warranty at XXXXXXXXXX Secured by FANNIE MAE MORTGAGE, may be expiring or may have already expired." Signed by Andrew Thompson.

I got a letter in the mail stating “Final Notice” and urgent that my home warranty was or is already expired. My and husband’s names were used and our mortgage co was noted. I called the number and was told my warranty had lapsed, but I should reactivate now. I questioned that we ever had this coverage and was told I did, “everyone has to have it”. When I asked who’s been paying for it, he acted so confused that I was so ridiculous for asking questions and not just reactivating. He kept saying he didn’t understand why I was questioning. He pretended like he didn’t even understand what I was asking and finally said, “Do you want the coverage or not?” I said, “no”, and he huffed and hung up. The letter was official looking and had info that seemed like a scare tactic. It even had an expiration date listed for next week, but I never had this coverage! The letter was surely misleading, and the person who answered the phone was very rude and acted as if I was very stupid not knowing I’ve had this coverage (but I never had it).

Claimed to be from the "Home Warranty Division" (private & confidential) and was sent by Andrew Thompson, a Program Director. Phone number provided was 1-877-4406. Said operating hours were M-F from 7am to 7pm CST and Saturday from 9am to 2pm CST. No other real information except some vague threat/warning that my home warranty may be expiring or may have already expired. Oh, and there claims to be an existing customer ID number, which I'm assuming is to help make it seem legit. No company name listed. No website or address listed. And my home warranty is fine, thank you.

- Simpsonville, SC, USA • Feb 10, 2025

A letter was received in the mail stating that my home warranty was expiring, pretended to be associated with my loan holder. Requested $295 to renew my home warranty. When questioned further, they hung up on me. I called the loan holder, they confirmed the company was not affiliated with them.
