Received a letter in the mail from "official business" with the document called "Form 9550-WARR". I had a quick read through it and realized it was most likely a scam due to information being incorrect like how it stated "for your current loan" while I don't have one. After seeing a few discrepancies I looked it up to find it was a scam. But it did use my correct address, name, make & model of my car.

- San Antonio, TX, USA • Apr 16, 2026

The scammer sent an "immediate response" required letter to home address. The letter advised that the "coverage" on a new car was "lapsing" and required updating and purchase of a vehicle service plan. The scammer had the names, address, phone and email address of the primary car buyer. The scammer was asking for the VIN# and mileage for the new vehicle and banking information to effect transfer of funds. When asked why a brand new car would have a lapse in coverage the representative hung up. When the scammer was called back the scammer hung up again.

I received a letter with no email or website address to the US mail stating I am about to lose my warranty on my car if I do not call them and register it had my home address and the exact year make and model of the car I just purchased

- Georgetown, TX, USA • Oct 28, 2025

Received this letter saying our warranty was about to expire on our 6-month old 2025 Subaru (purchased 5/6/2025) and we had to call immediately to reinstate it. There was only a phone number, NO company name, NO address, NO website, NO other contact information except the phone number. They didn't even have our name correct and it was obvious they just trolled the Texas DOT public records or Subaru's records for new car owners. The envelope it came in had NO return address or company name on it. It had a PRSRT STD U.S. Postage PAID stamp, Permit #699, mailed from Zip code 92799. I didn't bother to call and shredded the letter.

- Kansas City, MO, USA • Oct 01, 2025

Company posing as warranty agents, tried to put me on a monthly plan to pay for a warranty that I already have. Claims to work with Nissan, extremely rude and aggressive behavior, asking for card information. Mail contained threatening statements involving the termination of policies with new vehicle.
