On 7/9/2024 Allen West extension 0221 from phone number 572-233-3294 called to inform me my Spectrum promotion is expiring and he has a new one. He said the new promotion is to pay $300 up front to quality for $25.00 monthly internet instead of the $46.99 I currently pay. There was a $2.99 charge to enroll. I was told I wouldn't get a bill for a year then in July 2025 the billing cycle would start again. Gave me authorization code SPC710972 and to call 888-330-5138 to activate and then I would get a Target card. I then stopped him and said no, I don't want a Target card. He was rudely trying to persuade me to get the Target card. I declined and told him not to charge me card. Then he said I canceled this new enrollment and charged my cc $140.00 for canceling. I got in my car, went to Spectrum store advised what happened. Rob at Spectrum told me to call my cc company and stop the charge. I called my USAA cc 800-531-8722. They (Jacob) told me the charge is in Pending status and I can't dispute the charges until they post. He canceled my card and is expediting a new one. Two charges still pending today 7/10/2024, one $2.99 and the other $140.00. I checked the status and they are still pending and I will dispute. I am without a cc now until I receive my new one b/c I only have one.
