I keep receiving these home warranty FINAL notices and a voucher for 199.00. Finally today I called them because have never had a warranty with them -- the guy's total focus was, okay, today I will be setting up your home warranty. I said no you won't -- you send this like I had a warranty with you and it is expiring -- you people are crooks, and I hung up.

I have now received these final offers for way over a year, have called them to be removed from their mailing lists, to no avail. They do have my name and address, which does make me uncomfortable. The latest one received has the usual buzz words of "final notice," "call immediately" etc. other clear red flags. Their website (homewarrantyusa.com) is vague and this company is not visible in any of the home warranty lists I have seen.

The address I got today for them is: 5000 Birch Street, Newport Beach, CA 92660

Let me know if you'd like me to send you a scan of the latest letter I just received.

Seems to be a car warranty scam. No business name is given, just a notice about a warranty expiration and a date to call by.

- Phoenix, AZ, USA

This came as a small pink postcard with "FINAL NOTICE" and "immediate response requested" and it was trying to get me to sign up for a home warranty.

I got a letter about a home warranty in the mail urging me that this is a “final notice” and “immediate response requested” and it lists my new mortgage company, leading one to believe that something is effected with their mortgage if they do not contact the company immediately. I did call the company to try to get more information to provide but they would not tell me anything without giving my “customer ID” which I refused to do.

I fell victim to this Home Warranty Scam back in January of 2023. They have my personal banking information now. I have been trying to report the company since. They are saying that they provide Home Warranty for all items inside of your home. This company is a SCAM. I have been trying to call the numbers provided and when I do, it rings once and hangs up. I have recieved NO post and NO emails regarding any late fees as they did not take my email information or anything else of private information. Chatting with a man by the name of Damaine, I was laughed at when telling him one of their workers hit a button on their phone or computer (whatever they were using to contact me) and I was able to see a quick glance of a woman with long dark hair, wore glasses, and was eating a bowl of food in her kitchen. She replied “oh s***” and took me off the screen and then transferred me over to a woman by the name of Jo Lee. I have taken this information to the attorney generals office as well. Please do not fall for this scam as they will harass by calling everyday stating that I will be charged late fees and changes to my account will be made. Upon further inspection, the (866) 772-7265 phone number is related to a company called American Automotive Warranty. Which of course is another scam. I have received another letter similar to this only a few days after and realized I fell victim to a scam. Went to my bank and explained the situation and showed them the letters received in the mail. They blocked the warranty account but have told me to continue keeping an eye on my funds. Upon further inspection with the ScamPulse.com there are several addresses regarding the warranty establishment at several locations in MO and CA. The people I have spoken to from this warranty place are Chris, Jo Lee and Damaine. They have claimed to send emails and post in my mailbox but I have received NOTHING. They have no app to collect information like other insurance companies, nor did any of these final notices have a return address. Calling the last time, I asked how much my late fee would be but the man by the name of Damaine would not give me the actual fee charge!

RESPONSE TO THIS NOTICE REQUESTED

ATTENTION: **** ******** Body of text was to inform me that the home warranty either expired or was about to. I was to contact them to get the warranty up to date. This letter would be their final attempt. POC is James Miller, Program Director, at the number listed earlier. Customer ID was WHA1481854.

Received a letter asking for vin and mileage on my vehicle regarding an expired warranty. Saying I need to call the number listed and that I would be at risk if I did not call the number.

Offered us a home appliances warranty. They said that we had a warranty connected with our mortgage at Third Federal , and it had expired. They sent a coupon in the mail with our home owner ID from Third Federal. We called to set up a warranty for 3 months. Bank sent a text fraud alert and they asked us to override it, and we permitted transaction. My husband paid 150 for first month. It was a 3 month offer They said we could cancel the warranty next month if we were not satisfied. They offered to send email confirming what the warranty covered. They did not. We called from 2 different phones and left messages to send the info. No response.

My mother received a letter from Champions Funding LLC stating that it was the FINAL NOTICE (Never received anything from this company before). It mentioned "Failure to call and prevent a potential lapse of coverage could result in you being liable for ALL costs associated with any home repairs. My mother is not the homeowner of the residence. Her name is not even on the lease. This is a fear/scare tactic towards the elderly. Which is why I am reporting them. If the landlord's name was on the letter none of this would matter but...

Sending mail labeled County Deed Records. No return address, 'FINAL NOTICE' Written. Offering a $199.00 voucher for some kind of home warranty deal if I sign the check. Below check there is text : "This is not a check" and "We are not affiliated with your current mortgage holder".

- Superior, AZ, USA

Received mail noting "Final Notice Immediate Response Requested" with Lender Info from my mortgage lender and my name to call 1-877-670-3352 by 3/10/2023.

- Overland Park, KS, USA

Received postal mail that was made to look like it was from my mortgage lender/bank. The letter is saying my home warranty is expired (it is not) and that I need to contact them immediately to pay or I will lose coverage, which doesn't even make sense.

- Gainesville, FL, USA

I received a letter which stated in bold letters, “final renewal notice” for a home warranty. I called and spoke with Sergio, and asked him who took out the original that this would be expiring. He said that it was an opportunity to get a home warranty. The letter contained what looks like a check for $199 and reads “signature required for redemption” but down below and in much smaller letters says “this is not a check”.

The way this is written, with bold and capitalize letters, it is clearly to scam someone into thinking they already have a home warranty that is expiring and that this is their final notice.

This company is posing as a home warrantee company, and have looked up and included personal financial information including my address, mortgage lender, home owner ID and fiancés information. They are claiming to require payment under threat of penalty.

My mom received a mailing from the "County Deed Records" stating that there was a voucher enclosed. The voucher looked like a check, though there was a small disclaimer stating that it was not a check. The mailing intentionally is made to look like it came from the County records department.
