Keep receiving vouchers for vehicles I don’t own. Also received one for deceased person.

- Upper Marlboro, MD, USA • May 20, 2025

This "company" has attempted to contact me via mail regularly for 6 months and has sent mail saying "final notice" regarding getting a warranty on a car that I do not own nor have I ever owned.

I have called and asked them to stop contacting me and they are still sending me mail. I have no recourse with them as there is no way to deal with anyone other than the phone number they have provided.

In calling them I found the name is: Omega Auto Repair, this is not on any of their paperwork at all and it took quite a bit of asking to get the name from them on the phone.

Mailer claiming home warranty is going to expire. Final notice. If you don’t call you will be liable for all costs associated with home repairs. Gives the illusion it’s for homeowners insurance and has your mortgage lending company name on it ONLY. When I called the number and asked what company it was they said “4Ever Home.”

- Pine City, NY, USA • May 05, 2025

Received a call from 929-658-9675. An "Agent" (Tom) asked to speak to me by name. He knew that I own a 2013 Nissan, and offered to sell me an Auto Warrantee Policy which would "save me money" over my current Carshield Plan. (He knew I had a Carshield Plan)

He told me:

1. that the company he represented had been "in business for 13 years".

2. That Nissan dealerships no longer cooperated with Carshield because of some Class Action Lawsuit"

When I told him that I was unhappy with Carshield, because I recently found out that Carshield had no participating local companies to provide me with roadside service, I asked him to check his data base and tell me that their roadside service had participating companies in my area that could provide that service,

He told me:

4. "Yes, we provide roadside service in your area."

I responded: Carshield does, too........but they have no cooperating service providers in my area.......so I would like you to tell me the name and address of local service providers who would respond if I needed roadside assistance.

He said:

5. "Horizon Towing" and gave no address

6. "Hubbard Mobile Mechanic" ........."I see THAT business has been with us the longest"

7. "City Wide Towing" (again he provided no address, although I pressed him on that point.)

I told him: "I've never heard of any of those businesses."

We went on to discuss cost. He said:

8. He could provide me "Signature Level Coverage, with a $200.00 deductible at $99.00 for the first month and $118.00 / month thereafter (including Taxes).

I asked him if he could give me a number I could call back or call me back in 10 days, so that I could research a) his company, b) the local roadside assistance dealers he had mentioned, and his company's rating with the BBB. (BTW, it's no surprise none of those Roadside assistance "Providers" exist.)

He hung up.

I then went to the ScamPulse.com website and discovered they have an "F" rating with you and have been in business since 9-12-22!! I also decided to call the number that the ScamPulse.com website provided, to see if I could get another scammer to give me more info for my report.

The first time I called 888-678-0779, first I heard a "beep" like the beep one hears when a scammer or a telemarketer calls) which I DID NOT REPOND TO.............FOLLOWED BY an automated female voice which told me more "wonderful" lies about their company and asked me to continue to hold because "all representatives were busy with other callers", and my call "would be answered shortly"........until the call timed out and disconnected me.

I decided to call one more time and THIS TIME respond to the "beep" by saying "hello". A VERY SURPRISED "Daimen" answered my call!!

I did not give him ANY INFO. I just told him I had heard about his company, and I was unhappy with Carshield and I "fished" for more information.

I asked him:

1) How many years had his company been in business (7 years)

2) Was his company endorsed by the BBB? (AN ENTHUSIASTIC "YES" followed by "we have an A Rating!!"

3) Where is his company located? (Mumbled something about "Quail ..........)

4) How much would this service cost me?

He then asked for the mileage on my car and the vin number,

I told him: I'm not giving him that information and asked him if he wanted to know why,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,he hung up!!!

I received an email about an urgent response to getting a home warranty. It also had my lender info, name, and address. The person on the line did not have an accent and went by 'Ryan'. They asked for my banking information, and when I received a text warning me from me from my bank of a potential fraud, they said to confirm it.

- Chandler, AZ, USA • Apr 25, 2025

- Portland, OR, USA • Apr 25, 2025

Scammer sent a letter by postal mail claiming to be my mortgage lender (they are not) claiming my home warranty had expired and I needed to contact them immediately at 888-421-5993 to remedy it. They include vague threats of what would happen if I did not and indicated that the renewal offer would expire in 5 days.

Postmark on the envelope indicates it was sent from Santa Ana, CA, 92799 - PRSRT STD Permit N0 325

Small print at the bottom of the letter in 4 to 6 point font size (barely readable) says Home Protection USA. Florida License G008408

Received a letter from Andy Perkins stating my home warranty was going to expire and to contact their office at 888-421-5993 before April 24th, 2025. Letter included:

RESPONSE TO THIS NOTICE REQUESTED

Secured by Bank of America

Envelope postage stated mailed from zip code 92799.

- Sherwood, OR, USA • Apr 24, 2025

I received a Final Notice letter mailed from Zip Code 92799 with no company name on the envelope, just stating "Response To This Notice Requested". The letter was mailed to my attention as the homeowner at my current address, advising it is important to contact their (unnamed) office at 888-421-5993 upon receipt of the letter to "avoid delays in my home warranty insurance that may have expired". The letter was received on April 23rd and response required by April 30th. Letter noted "Secured By: Veterans Admin", and I responded because my home loan is through Oregon Dept. of Veterans Affairs. I assumed it was regarding my required annual Certificate of Property Insurance which I had already supplied as instructed. I thought I was calling Andy Perkins (who signed the letter) and that he was an employee of Veterans Affairs. Instead I reached an Ashley Parker who gave me a hard sell on home warranty insurance, with a couple of expensive policy options and DEMANDING a $295.00 deposit immediately BEFORE sending me any additional detailed information on the options or underwriter Omega Claims. She insisted I must make a decision on accepting to buy the insurance during the phone call. When I was adamant that I would not purchase an unknown product for home warranty insurance I did not want or need, she became more insistent. I then told her that I thought her call was a scam and I would phone the Veterans Administration to verify. At that point, she advised my property would be "red flagged" and she hung up. I went to the Veterans Administration website and learned the phone number 888-421-5993 is associated with Scam ID #972700. Discard the letter as described and do not respond.

Then claimed on the phone the man "Chase" claimed they put the wrong car on the letters and for me to prived the approval number on the top left of the letter. This is a scam its all over reddit. The other number for them is 8556363514.

- Matawan, NJ, USA • Apr 18, 2025

Said his name was Victor and that it would cost $4,987.00 per year for 5 yr. car warranty at 267.67 per month . I had a month to make up my mind but he took 295.00 from my credit card before the month was over without my permission. Had to block my card. Want this warranty cancelled. The phone number he gave me is 844 445 0480.

- Phoenix, AZ, USA • Apr 13, 2025

They list a customer ID although I AM NOT A CUSTOMER. They list an expiration date. They cite correct "Lender Info" making it appear as if they are a warranty service with that actual lender where the home loan originated. They word the letter to sound as if I have coverage with them and it is about to expire. Very similar wording to the other 700 pages of real estate bullcrap one must sign when buying a house now days. They cite my name and correct address and word the ltter with a sense of urgency that my property insurance is about to expire. Andrew Thompson is cited as the Program Director at 877-499-4406. Bottom 2 lines in 6 font read: "Superior Home Protection in not affiliated with your current mortgage. Home Warranty Administered by Warranty Global Group."

- Pahrump, NV, USA • Apr 09, 2025

I was contacted by mail 8-15-24 regarding my home warranty coverage. The letter looked legitimate so I called and the company offered me 3 years coverage for 2 year premiums. I questioned them at length regarding what coverage was and they really did a sales pitch. I didn't purchase that day but talked several times with agents, Otis, James, Nick, Kelvin, and Mario. They assured me that they would cover any of my home repair needs so I signed up for the complete package. Six months later my air conditioning went out so I tried getting hold of someone but that was a complete mess. It took me over six phone calls to finally get hold of someone in the proper department. I found out I had to look for my own AC company and pay them and get reimbursed by the company. I called a local company and they replaced the capacitor which worked only a few minutes before the entire unit failed. I was then informed by Home Protection USA that they covered a maximum of $300 on the unit because my house was over 10 years old. They never stated anything like that when they sold me the policy. I was furious because I have paid over $1,000 in monthly payments just to find out this policy was useless. I am 80 years old and I believe this company to be a scam. When I tried cancelling the policy they informed me I had to pay 6 months premiums before they would cancel. I put a stop on my charge card because they have already taken 7 payments from me. I am forwarding all this to my charge card and hope no one else is taken in by this company. I went all winter with no heat and now summer is approaching and we have over 110 degrees here in pahrump. I am on a fixed income and cannot afford a new AC unit.

A small postcard arrived in my mailbox under the title of Home Warranty Division, County Deed Records, explaining that I had to call this number in order to retain 'coverage' on a 'warranty replacement.' It struck me immediately as phishy so I'm reporting it, as I worry other people will be duped into giving personal information. I hope it helps; I've never heard of this group or people before, and I wish to report this as a scammer.

Letter from “Motor Vehicle Services” number 1-888-207-8938. Included the dealer I purchased the vehicle from as well as make model and year of the car

- Mebane, NC, USA • Mar 29, 2025

A letter was addressed to me, with the year, make, and model of my vehicle and a fake “Customer ID.” No return address was listed, but U.S. postage was paid under Permit No. 699, and the header says “Vehicle Services Division” (it is signed by “Andrew Williams, Program Coordinator”). The letter requests a response within 5 days to “ensure eligibility” to activate service coverage, because my “factory warranty has expired or may be about to expire” and “neglecting to activate” my coverage may leave me “financially liable for any and all repairs.” The letter is stamped “Final Notice” and the deadline to call is 3 days after the date on which I received the letter. The demand is to “call 1-877-498-8071 with VIN and current mileage.”

- Saint David, AZ, USA • Mar 21, 2025

My wife and I received a letter in the mail that said it was a “Final Notice.” We thought it might be from our home insurance company telling us that our coverage was expiring; they had told us that we needed to place netting and a pad around our trampoline or our home insurance would be canceled. We thought this “Final Notice” might be related to that. My wife called Home Shield USA on February 18th. She spoke with someone named Joseph Starr. He told her that our home warranty insurance was going to expire unless we paid the $295 minimum deposit. She said, “I didn’t know that we had a home warranty insurance.” He said, “Oh, yes, you do have a warranty and it’s going to expire. Your home insurance covers everything outside the house; we cover everything inside the house, including appliances.“ After taking our credit card information over the phone, he told my wife that we had 30 days to cancel if she changed her mind. She called back three or four days later and spoke with Nick M, who told her that Nate Jones, a manager, was the only one that could cancel the policy. Nick M said that Nate Jones would call my wife back, but he never did. Nick M hung up on my wife to end that call. My wife later spoke with Otis. He told her that her name was put on a specialist list and that a manager would call her by the next day, but they never did. Whenever she would tell Nick M or Otis that she wanted to cancel, they would start talking over her and not allow her to speak. On March 4, she contacted our bank and asked them to reverse the $295 charges, which they did. She told them the story about her unsuccessful efforts to cancel this coverage. On March 13, a woman called from MEPCO, the company providing the billing services for Home Shield USA. My wife told her that she only was willing to talk if the representative was going to help her cancel. My wife then hung up and this woman called her back. My wife asked her if she was going to help her cancel and this woman started rambling and talking over her, so my wife hung up again. We have now received a billing statement from MEPCO that includes a late charge. My concern is that they are going to report us to a collection agency for a charge that we were told we could cancel, but their representatives would not allow that to happen on three separate attempts.

I recieved with a phone call, they sounded very professional. He had information in regards to what year my car was what type of car it was and that Buick sent my information to them. They had my address phone number email address in the beginning and then I got transferred over to another woman by the name of Crystal Johnson that was the financing person that took down my other information in regards to sending me my ID card and a booklet of what was covered with this initial conversation. In the begining i was told that the company name was Ultimate auto. They proceeded to take a down payment that was to be followed by monthly payments that were to be a certain amount and that all of that information was to be sent with the welcome packet. The number given to me was 844-290-3804. I received a confirmation #3xxxxxxxxx3. I called back today and asked why I hadn't received anything confirming my purchase and was told that it would take 72 hours to receive the email.

Then I was given a policy # and was directed to gotomycoverage.com. From there i was instructed to enter my email address and policy number to log in and see my coverage. On this page there was something that had looked like a memebership card with a picture of the same year and model of my card and all of my information on card. There were 5 didferent numbers. I called the customer service dept and got a verizon prerecored message stating that I didn't dial the number correctly. This number was the 844-290-3804. That I had already called. So i went back in my phone logs to call the same number I had just used to speak with someone with the same verizon message coming up. Strange it worked the first time I called it. So i called the claims department 833-483-2610. They stated that they were Omega Auto Care. They transferred me back to the customer service department to sit on hold for an hour listening to music for an hour before I hung up.

The numbers that originally called were:

616-314-5452

616-342-5086

844-290-3804

800-397-6767

833-397-2610

877-553-0431

The Addresses that I was able to get were:

Moxy Solutions

27261 Las Ramblas #200

Mission Viejo, Ca 92691

Omega Auto Care

16150 Main Circle Dr.

Chesterfield, Missouri 63017

With all of these numbers they all led back to Crystal Davis lady that would not give me a company address said that there was no management to speak to for 3 hours and hung up on me multiple times until it would no longer let me call that number any longer. I take the assumption that i was blocked.
