Type of a scam Advance Fee Loan

This company called me to advise that I had been approved for a loan of $5000. They explained that they "manage" loans on behalf of private lenders. They sent, and I returned all documentation, including a commitment letter and a loan agreement. They called the next day to advise that the private was requesting advance payment of 3 months ($495.84), which would actually cover my first 3 payments, before he would release funds. I did send the funds (with fees, the total was $541.84). After that, I was advised that The lender was requiring SIX months of advance payment. I sent a second payment of $495.85/cost $541.85). That payment was returned to me by MoneyGram due to "security issues with the recipient." The company was very apologetic, and advised that they would make the second required payment on my behalf, and that they would do so on April 17. On the morning of April 17, I received an email advising that they had sent the second payment and that loan proceeds would be direct deposited to my account by 3:00 p.m. Central Time. At 3:17 p.m. I received an email from the company advising that the lender had declined the payment because it was originated by them rather than by me. I was given 3 options: 1. I could send the funds myself; 2. I could allow them to locate a different lender: or 3. I could cancel and request a refund. I requested a refund and was advised that refunds take 30 days. I demanded that the refund be made immediately; I was told that was not possible. I did, however, receive an email later that day advising that my refund would be made to my account by direct deposit on May 6.

I have attempted to locate the business' information through the State of Washington's Secretary of State, but there is nothing on file. Formal complaints have been filed with their webhost, with the CFPB, and with the Washington State Attorney General.
