USPS Imposter Reports & Reviews (622)

Said that my package delivery date was reschedule and wanted me to click the link the conform my information. Like appeared not to work.

I received a text message saying it was usps and to click a link regarding the status of a package

I received a text message from a random number regarding a USPS delivery that changed and there was a link to click on to confirm. I knew it was a scam because I wasn’t expecting any deliveries from USPS and I know that USPS wouldn’t be texting me.

I bought something online and then received this text shortly after. I clicked on it and it took me to a random suspicious website and I looked it up online and found out if was fake. It disturbed me they knew I bought something. Downloaded a antimalware tool shortly after but it didnt find anything.

Text message said "USPS: the planned dispatch for the package 1z61054 got postponed. Make sure to confirm here: z4fmv.info/Im0CRtkK"

- Mount Washington, KY, USA

Did not reply at all. After receiving the message I went online to check to see what it was all about. As expected, I found it to be a phishing scam.

- Edmond, OK, USA

This was the text I received and thought it was regarding something I had shipped via usps BEWARE!

"USPS: the arranged delivery of the shipment 1z54941 has been changed. Make sure to confirm here: a2gcv.info/hO3Stl1CTI"

- Columbia, MO, USA

I received a text from an unfamiliar number that reads: "USPS: the arranged dispatch for your package ******* got changed. Please verify here: *********************" (where the last bit is a link, which I knew better than to click on. This is an attempt to connect and steal information. Don't fall for it.

- Chuckey, TN, USA

Text read as follows...

USPS: the arranged dispatch for the parcel 1z87452 was postponed. Please confirm here > a1gmk.info/fV5e1Buy0Y

- Jackson, MI, USA

Saying I need to confirm info on a usps dispatched packaged. I did not click link

- Roaring Spring, PA, USA

I received the text message and checked my outstanding orders. When none showed they were delayed, I searched the internet and saw it was a scam.

Received a text message that read:

“USPS: the arranged dispatch of your shipment 1z26908 was postponed. Please verify here: (URL)”

Claiming to be the United States Postal Service and that the arranged dispatch for my package has been changed. The tracking number does not register with the USPS order number tracker and the link provided does not appear to accessible.

I received a text message. Due to recent identity theft issues, I did not click. However, I am waiting for a package and felt uncertain about this text message. Fortunately, I found an article identifying this as a scam.

Message used: USPS: the planned dispatch of the parcel ** has been changed! Make sure to verify here: ** Directed to a faux-google site that would have asked me to give login info

I received the following message: USPS arranged delivery for the parcel 1z21505 was postponed! Make sure to confirm here > Z4fmv.info/I|TUD14iYJ

This is a scam trying to get personal information from those who follow the link. I received this text twice within 2 weeks:

USPS: the arranged delivery for the parcel 1z40732 has been changed. Please confirm here: z2fxc.info/6uB4YXa0PV

I received a text message on my work phone claiming to be from USPS in regards to a delayed shipment. The words of the text are as follows: "USPS - arranged dispatch for your shipment 1z01523 got postponed. Make sure to confirm here: z4fmv.info/Im0CRtgh5M"

That is an uppercase i and not a lowercase L in the link (for those whose text is ambiguous).

Working in an IT position in an office means I have items shipped in and out continuously, but never have I received an email like this. This is a "smishing" scam, much like phishing but using SMS to reach individuals in order to obtain their personal data. I opened the link on a generic connected PC using a private browser and it loads a very quick page (itsclosingtime.com/) that then immediately redirects to Google.com
