Website had full tracking info which made things seem more real and accurate. However, when the tracker claimed the item had been delivered, which it had not, the only email was the one provided. No phone number. Several emails were sent with no response.

Received text with link

https://tinyurl.com/45a98xn5

That takes you to the fake USPS website where you enter all of your contact info and then on next page are asked to pay a $1.99 redirect fee and enter your credit card information. I didn’t submit once it asked for that.

Redelivery attempt. Need to pay $3

- Elizabeth, CO, USA

Received text with link to USPS website (see below) to correct address for package redelivery. Had package tracking number when I clicked on link, but when tracking number searched through USPS tracker opened in another window, it said tracking number not found. It asked for correct address, date of birth, and phone number to make sure package was “eligible for redirect”, then took me to a page asking for credit card info for a $3 redirect charge.

- Colorado Springs, CO, USA

Usps link looks like the actual usps site. Very undepth. Asks for address to redeliver and then asks for payment info for 3 dollars to redeliver. I gave address, bday and phone number thinking it was real. Did not put in payment information since usps doesn't charge to redeliver.

- Ellenboro, NC, USA

They have a bogus tracking number that says the item was delivered in my mailbox but this item clearly will not fit in a mailbox! I’ve never received this item and they keep telling me to contact USPS … the tracking number to this delivery is 5oz… which clearly isn’t right!

- Everett, WA, USA

i used a website i thought was USPS to change my address, it said it will be $1.10. Once I saw my bank statement it was $79.90 which in fact I did not intend to pay. The website said i will receive an email confirming with a receipt but i never got one nor did i hear anything back when i requested a refund.

- Murphy, NC, USA

I was on Facebook and an ad popped up for this Wood Splitter Wedge - Wedge Manual Log Splitter Wedge for Indoor Camping. I ordered the wood splitter on February 12, 2023. Received an email on February 23, 2023 that it had been shipped. On March 14, 2023 I tracked the item from the email and it said "Delivered, Front Door/Porch Feb 28 2023 01:11 pm Harrisburg, PA". I have never received the wood splitter that I ordered and paid for.

- Osseo, MN, USA

Said there was a problem delivering a package from USPS and I needed to verify my shipping information and there was re-delivery fee of $2.99 gave name, number and credit card information. The website was secure and looked legit, all the links worked directly with the official USPS website.

- Junction City, OR, USA

They wanted my credit card info to charge me $3 to do a redirect of my mail and I looked it up and found usps doesn’t charge a fee to redirect a package or mail to you

- Honolulu, HI, USA

Scammer texted the following:

"Subject: From: USPS

MSG: Your package will be returned due to missing address details.

Please update the address in time:

https://qr.sohos.app/tjr257c5pf/

USPS-ID-#859990096"

Scammer requested credit card information after link was clicked on stating that a $3 payment was required to re-deliver a package.

- Cumming, GA, USA

Text asked for money to redeliver a package from the USPS

- Beaverton, OR, USA

uspspI was changing my address and this website came up. It didn’t look fake it looked like USPS change address

They charged me $149,96

I normally am charged only a $1.10

I am actually expecting a delivery from the United States Post Office. I received the following text:

USPP Your packagde is undeliverabled ,the addres on file did not mmth the zip c0de, please udpated the Addrese: ups-quote.me/VUS1ijKViN6U4dN

Because my delivery is running towards the end of the expected delivery date and the tracking information was not working, I assumed it was real, especially since it hasn’t updated since 2/4 and delivery window is 2/9-2/16. I clicked the link which took me to a page that looked just like the USPS tracking page. It asked me to verify my information, which included my name, address, phone #, and email. When you click next, it asks for credit card information with a statement in red font that said the post office charges $0.30 usd for redelivery. I stopped at this point and researched.

The post office does not charge for redelivery. And this wasn’t even a redelivery, it was a supposed wrong zip code. I assume they would have authorized my card and taken more money than $0.30 if I had put the information in.

Please note, if you click track another package, you will be redirected to a real USPS website page.

Do not give payment information to USPS unless it is for something you initiated. They don’t charge to redeliver. They will bring it back to your main post office.

Scammer said they had trouble delivering my package had me put in name, birthday, and tried for CC number but I stopped there

USPS_ID#9651342 :

Your package couldn't be delivered and will be returned. Kindly update your correct shipping details online at s.id/1yPDp .

I ordered something, and I got a text message that the redelivery fee was 30 cents, so I tried to do it multiple times. When no attempt worked I got suspicious and looked up if usps even had a redelivery fee (they don't)

The text said “We are unable to arrange delivery of the package because the street address you provided does not match your zip code, please update tinyurl.com/US-PS-NMV”

I clicked on the website, and it asked for my email address and correct name/street address. The website then claimed that a redelivery fee of $1 would be needed and asked for my credit card information.
