The message included my name and academic email. It claimed that I owed money for a traffic violation and that I should click on an attached PDF to mind instructions for payment of the fine. The email address of the sender is not connected to any government department, and there was no date in the message specifying when the violation took place. I no longer live in Missouri, having moved out of state in December 2020.
