Attempting to renew my passport online. In a rush I clicked the first link on Google which took me to the online application form. I completed the form including all of my personal contact information and SSN.

Company refused a refund after I realized my mistake.

Website is at the top qhen searchng for US passport applications and leads you to believe you are paying the actual passport fee, but in actuality, it is a scam website that takes all of your personal details AND payment...then sends you an email with the "application" containing all of the personal details you entered yourself....which you can do for free on official government websites. The website is designed to make you think you are submitting a legitimate application to the US government along with the associated fee(s). In reality, they provid no legitimate or valuable service and trick honest people out of a significant amount of money with zero benefit to them.

Website advertising as an online passport renewal company; they requested all private information including mother and father’s name, date of birth and location of birth; SSN, spouses information etc. and charged for passport processing as well as expedited processing fee, but was not affiliated with the state department. At the conclusion of the application and after paying them, they alert you that you will still need to pay the passport agency for all of the same fees for service, so they are not providing the service they are advertising or making you pay for.

This is a scam that has compromised all of my PII, and has received money for services not provided. I alerted my bank, froze my credit, and will have to try to remove my private information from their data.

apply.uspassportandvisa.org is deceptive. It mimics an official website for passport renewal and does not make it clear enough that the only "service" they provide for $67.88 is filling out the publicly available-for-free paperwork. The important info is listed in the "I agree" section but buried there and not highlighted in any way. I intended to apply for a passport and this is not what this site provides. The .org suffix lent credibility to the site. An email was sent to cancel this once the scam was made obvious in their final email, instructing one to print it and mail it in for an additional fee, was received. They now have sensitive information. No phone number to confirm my refund and data deletion request is available.

When I googled passport renewal a website with uspassportandvisa.org url presented itself as the first option. I clicked on the link and it had an option to renew the passport and complete the U.S. PASSPORT RENEWAL APPLICATION FOR ELIGIBLE INDIVIDUALS. I completed the form with sensitive information and realized after I clicked "submit" that it was not the US Governments Website. It was my mistake, but the company created a website that look so similar to the real website. I was refunded the amount I paid but they have all my personal information.

My boyfriend and I were attempting to renew our passports online and, in doing so, clicked the first website listed which was uspassportandvisa.org.

After inputting our information and realizing all it gave us were print out forms to then ACTUALLY apply, I realized the URL did not include .GOV, meaning it's an unsecure site that has now just taken our names, numbers, addresses, social security numbers and all manner of sensitive information. We are now in a panic, hoping we can lock our SSN and freeze our accounts in time before this causes a huge issue for us.

I googled a site to renew my passpost and this popped up. I clicked without looking at the URL. Information taken was all information needed to renew a passport (SSN, maiden names, places of birth, marriage information), as well as payment information for a ** bank card.

Googled to find the place to apply for a passport. Found this site. The UI looks legitimate, but after realizing that they are not what I assumed, I looked closer. There is a small notation at the top and bottom of the page stating that they are not a government agency. There is also nothing stating that they are in the USA.

I was in a hurry and trying to renew my passport on the way to the post office before they closed. I clicked the top website in my search for passport renewal. It asked me to put in all of my personal information, soc #, numbers from my passport and passport card, and asked for my parents birthdays and names. When I got to the pay screen, I put in my credit card info and my card immediately declined it as fraud. Now I'm freaking out that they have ALL my information. I feel so stupid. Please don't make the same mistake as me...

Web site was designed to look like the US State Department's online passport application site. Similar color scheme and appearance. For $68, they auto-filled a form that can be completed for free at a passport office. They scam you into thinking this is your actual passport application, but it is in fact them assembling the form only. I hope to god I didn't just blast my very sensitive personal information out to some foreign scammer.

I google searched forbthevus passport renewal page and this was the first wrbsite in my search. It Looked identical to passport website. I thought I was applying for a passport renewal. I input my information to apply for passport renewal until i saw no place to upload my picture. But two forms had already been filled out with information.
