I called the 800 number with my customer ID, she repeated my information back to me. Apparently they do not cover apartments anymore so I was told to disregard. I figured it was a scam anyway but was just curious about the phone number! Getting a letter on green paper with no return address label is enough to confirm it isn't real.

I got one , too , I just got very first letter and threat me “final notices” I wasn’t interested in home guard warranty . I knew it’s scam.

Thank you for sharing, but I strongly recommend you redact your personal details.

One screenshot really tells it all...

I received the same letter. I rightly assumed that it was a scam. I did not call the number, just looked it up. I have the same exact letter as someone posted a photo on here. Always assume these type of letters are a scam!

Keep getting letters from them making me think my home is not under warranty. Got final notice today. I called their number 1 (800) 870-3887 which rang but then disconnected immediately afterwards. Did this 3 times. Same thing. Also no address for them on envelope or letter.

I did some research on the name of the company, and also on the phone number. The actual company does exist, Phone: 833-909-0020 Se Habla Español: 833-909-0019 US Home Guard, 931 Main Plaza Dr., Wentzville, MO 63385. While the company is using questionable tactics to generate business, unless YOU PERSONALLY purchased coverage from them, you do NOT owe them anything! There are multiple Home Warranty companies that do provide a good service, but this is not a company I would recommend simply because of the tactics they are using. American Home Shield is a great company and does provide good coverage, if you are interested in purchasing a Home Warranty. However, a Home Warranty is NOT insurance! If you do get a letter from US Home Guard, I suggest you shred it and throw it in the trash, simply because they appear to be attempting to scam innocent victims. I would recommend American Home Shield. They provide the best coverage for the least amount of money, and their deductible to repair items is the cheapest.

I received a FINAL NOTICE letter today (2/20/21), dated 2/4/21 informing me that my property's home warranty, secured by a Bank they identified, may be expiring or may have already expired. I was asked to call them immediately at 1.800.870.3887. The letter reflects my Customer ID and went on to say that I was at risk of being financially liable for any and all repairs without a home warranty in place. No inspection would be required and final acceptance was subject to meet eligibility requirements (which were not listed).

Toward the bottom of the letter were listed types of coverage available and examples of repair/replacement costs. There is also a qualifier in small print at the very bottom of the letter indicating that "not all consumers have previous coverage. We are not affiliated with your mortgage holder."

The letter does not reflect the company's address, nor a website - a cause for concern. Because I received a number of letters in today's mail, I do not know which of 2 envelops it came in: One reflects Permit No. 699 mailed from zip code 92799 while the other reflects that is was presorted Standard Mail U.S. Postage Paid Harland Clarke.

I recognize that the information regarding the Bank is public information that anyone can obtain - however, the Bank disclosed in the letter was repaid in full 10 years ago. Additionally I never had a home warranty. This is a scam in which seniors (I am in my 70's) are being preyed upon and I recognized it as such. But I'll bet there are seniors who may have had a home warranty, with the status unknown to the senior, resulting in that senior responding to the letter and paying for a product that may or may not exist.

Received a letter in the mail at my parents address, (not my own), about a home warranty from this company. I've never owned a home, nor have I ever applied for any home warranties. This business indicated in the letter (green paper color) that my home warranty is due to expire within several days, and that I need to contact them immediately, or risk being financially liable for any and all home repairs,i..e.. (Air Conditioners, Hot Water Heater, or Furnace repairs). This letter also indicated that I have NOT contacted US HOME GUARD and that this warranty company reserves the right to revoke any eligibility for home warranties service coverage after 5 days.

Be forewarned EVERYONE! This IS a Phishing SCAM!! Watch Out!!!

They're hitting people in Iowa, too. My mom just got one. Not falling for it. Included a picture of the letter with my mom's info shielded. This is at best misleading and despicable marketing, at worst outright scam. I believe the later. A similar named company, American HomeGuard, mysteriously vanished after a multitude of complaints about their practices, a few years ago. Makes you wonder if it's the same people just changed the name.

Received the same green letter as several others. Guy on the phone was very rude and adamant that I pay over the phone immediately. Told him to get lost. I wish I had looked them up before I called and wasted my time. This is entirely a SCAM. Do not call, let alone give any card information, etc., over the phone.

I too received a notice and googled to see what others had seen about this before I called. It is not a scam. They are a legit company and were just offering coverage on the home because I had none set up. They are now providing me with a 3 year service policy for all of the major systems in my homes; with a much higher level of coverage than most other home warranties out there. They admins at A+ rated with the BBB and although some might be alarmed by the marketing, they are not scamming anyone.

???? says the guy that works for them

Actually they're rated C+. And it's a scam. Sent my mother a "FINAL NOTICE" when she's never had a warranty thru them, they never tried contacting her, and her home owners insurance is thru her bank. At the very least it's despicable marketing, but the truth is, it's a scam. You sound like you work for them, either as an employee or someone paid to lie and give them good reviews.

MY HUSBAND RECEIVED THIS LETTER DATED 11/12/2020 SAYING OUR PROPERTY HOME WARRANTY SECURED BY HUD-HOUSING/URBAN DEV. MAY BE EXPIRING.
MY HUSBAND IS VERY FRAIL AND DOESN'T UNDERSTAND THIS LETTER, IT HAS UPSET HIM, HE THINKS HE HAS TO PAY THESE PEOPLE.

PLEASE LET EVERYBODY KNOW THIS IS A SCAM, THEY ARE PREYING ON SENIOR CITIZENS

This just happened to me this company told me the same thing. I called and they told me I couldn't be reimbursed for my down payment on of $150.00 11/16/20. So I called my bank to discuss this matter.

I agree with all said here. They wanted me to pay $14.623 dollars. And respond very fast even though I'd never used them before. Clearly that is a scammer. I too get the "Final Notice", I'd never gotten another mail from them. Yes that too makes it clear they are scammers. Now because of the virus, there are so so many scammers. Phone calls, emails, mail.

No return address for the company, and company phone 1-800-870-3887 is not listed. Letter sent from Santa Ana CA. Pink letter full of alarm "FINAL NOTICE" and mentioning my name the bank holding my mortgage. Yes, they speak Spanish, but US Home Guard doesn't want you to know who they are. I am so sick of thieves targeting elders and non-English speakers. Why can't our government do something about these thieves? I blame Mitch McConnell and the dark money that has stopped all regulation, even of preditors, polluters, and climate destroyers.

Grateful that Scam Pulse has made it easy to see the truth about US Home Guard. Here's another "contact number": 1-800-870-3887. Their letters prominently referenced the bank which held our mortgage (now paid off, free and clear) and claimed "the property's home warranty, secured by BANK XXX." To complete my "due diligence", I called home office of BANK XXX and they immediately labelled this as a scam.

Pretty much what others have experienced.

Green letter with alarming statements beginning with FINAL NOTICE, continuing with IMMEDIATE RESPONSE REQUESTED, adding FINAL ATTEMPT TO NOTIFY YOU ending with 'we reserve the right to revoke your eligibility for service coverage after 5 days.'

In addition, I was put to task for not having contacted them before.

I never heard of this company, which explains my negligence in contacting them. No return address. No website.

What could possibly go wrong?

Folks, this is simply a variation of the auto warranty scams we deal with on a regular basis via our phones.

Act accordingly.

Definitely a scam! Misspelled my last name and never explained how this would be a "final notice" when this is my first notice letter from US HOME GUARD. When I called 1-800-221-8902 member on the phone was very defensive and argumentative when I asked if this was a scam, couldn't even validate herself. I eventually just hung up the phone.. when I googled US HOME GUARD I found comments above stated same conversation I had. I hope others have common sense. This is becoming more common since COVID.

They sent my husband one of their "Final Notice" letters and he was looking at it. I explained that I did not think it was a great idea but he called them. The guy, while nice was pushy and wanted us to commit NOW. Danny thanked him, and so on and hung up. He called right back! He went through everything again before my husband finally said we will think about it. I suggested that we go on line and check them out, as something smelled of three day old fish. I found this site and have read some of the complaints listed. We will NOT be going any further with it... Scam, scam, scam!

Just received today "FINAL NOTICE" from US Home Guard. I noticed what other people have said 'no return address'. Maybe they don't want people knocking on their door or it could be an out-house, it's where the notice should go. They informed me my property is secured by CREEK MORTAGE CO. INC. I checked this so called company and they don't exist. Please people do not be taken in by these SCAM artist save your money so you can pay for repairs. You all have a nice day.

Spam. Received a green letter in the mail claiming a final notice. Laugh at it and burn it.

I received the same letter from US HOME GUARD and called their 8000-221-8903 number and talked with Kyle. We have a new house which we built 3 years ago. After asking if we have any problems with our house he was able to offer their PLATINUM Plan right away. I asked him to mail me their contract with pricing (like other insurance companies do) before committing their business. Kyle said that after I pay the down-payment of $150 they will mail me the contract That sound like a scam.

+8

Scam. Targets new homeowners (me) - maybe taking advantage of re-financiers too. Letter makes it look like a late bill, but do not be fooled, they’re just trying to trick you into giving them money!

Please note these ppl are NOT affiliated with your lender. These are predatory letters from a predatory group of people that are NOT looking out for your best interest.

If you get this, do yourself a favor and toss it in the trash!
