US Home Guard Reports & Reviews – Page 3 (61)

Scam. Targets new homeowners (me) - maybe taking advantage of re-financiers too. Letter makes it look like a late bill, but do not be fooled, they’re just trying to trick you into giving them money!

Please note these ppl are NOT affiliated with your lender. These are predatory letters from a predatory group of people that are NOT looking out for your best interest.

If you get this, do yourself a favor and toss it in the trash!

Received letter printed on colored paper (green) stating "property's home warranty, [my address], secured by [my mortgage holder], may be expiring or may have already expired" no return address. I have no home warranty nor have inquired about one nor have I been contacted previously by this company. "CALL IMMEDIATELY," "FINAL ATTEMPT," "FINAL NOTICE," "IMMEDIATE RESPONSE," "EXTREMELY URGENT & TIME SENSITIVE" peppered throughout. "We reserve the right to revoke your eligiblilty for service coverage after 5 days"; includes a customer id number. Letter dated three weeks prior, due date is last week, arrived today. "Se habla Español 833-909-0019" also. Looks important and serious, strongly believe this should be illegal.

THANK YOU!1

This is the crap they emailed to me. BEWARE SCAM. They tried to get me to buy very quickly, promised it's the best out there, wanted $595 in advance then $150 per month, even offered a military discount. They said it was a SPECIAL DEAL only for me. There is NOT a website for this company.

I received unsolicited mail from US Home Guard. Never heard of them. First notice listed as URGENT, saying my home warranty was expiring.I paid no attention to it at first. I have a Reverse Mortgage however, and thought it best to consider since house is 58 years old. I moved in 10 years ago and bought new furnace, home air conditiioner system and all new appliances. I ignored first letter. But then I got a second follow-up, more firmly saying it was FINAL OFFER with limited days left to consider offer.Felt very uncomfortable about1 it and so contacted them. I had older appliances and maybe could use a protective plan. I am obligated to keep all in working condition with Reverse Mortage. So O got onfo from the Company. The fee given started at about $190 a month.I was asked questions about condition of appliances, furnace air conditioning system, etc. They are good for a couple more years. He said for first year no repair for these but after 1st year I pay first $100 and they will cover percentage of costs. He came down in price to $150 a month. Only later did I realize for whole year I was.paying out $1,800 for nothing. Was billed on charge card. I have no account number for warranty, no specific written info, no address, so don't know what am paying for/receiving. Today contacted them and said I need to cancel and the rep got loud ang angry at me, drowning out ability for me to speak. Also she refused to cancel acct, even though 1 week or so after purchasing I had called, spoken to an agent and was told by him that acct was cancelled. They have my credit card number and charged me $150 and now REFUSE to cancel acct.Am having to contest it with credit card company. I am 76 years old and think they are piranhas who prey on the elderly.

I had a similar experience to most people reporting this company. Never heard of them but received a "TIME SENSITIVE" letter about my home warranty expiring. This is definitely a scam. Do you own research prior to purchasing a home warranty.

Bought a new home, and don't recall any information about a home warranty. Received a final notice warning in the mail from them about warranty expiring on all appliances. Sounded strange, so just hung up. The guy repeatedly called me over and over again following that.

If you received a letter from these people with FINAL NOTICE do not respond to it. My computer virus protection immediately said they are not a secure website and I have seen many complaints against them. They are a SCAM. Just tear it up and throw it in the trash. They had the correct address and some information but all of that is public for anyone who owns a home etc. Don't be fooled by these people they can make their letter seem real and it is threatening. But look at the envelope they don't even have a return address on it at all nor in the letter. I found their address above by googling it ... but the site is not secure.

We received a letter in the mail telling us that our home warranty had expired, or would be expiring.

We do not have a home warranty through this company and this is the only correspondence we’ve had from them, though the letter says it’s a FINAL NOTICE.

+7

We also received a letter from them requiring us to call them IMMEDIATELY. I did. Due to the fact that we already have a home warranty I asked him what this was about. I also told him who we had a warranty with and he said he never heard of them. That's when I told him I would need to make a few calls before calling him back. Upon doing some research, I never found U.S. Home Guard on any to 5-15 of the best Home Warranty lists. So I googled just U.S. Home Guard and that is how I ended up here. If they are a scam why haven't they been shut down? What has to be done before they really catch a fish on their poisonous hook?

US Home Guard grabs info on new home sales and sends scam letters with false "TIME SENSITIVE" nonsense.

Look out!

My concern is that people will assume that their original home warranty will not be in affect - unless you contact US HOME GAURD. Very misleading at the least
