"Denise" called my place of employment several times. I called back 8554146233 in order to stop calling so I would not get fired but she refused to give me any information on my "debt" without me giving her my social security #. She would not look me up by name, or phone number. She kept insisting that I needed to give her my social security number. I refused.

Can you hear me scam. Wants you to respond with a yes..or yeah. Presented as customer support from...muffled.."can you hear me?" Rambles on about being pre-selected wanting a few responses..Ask if you have debit or credit card? It is hard to tell from the beginning of the call but this a recorded message.

I received a call asking if I was interested in extending my vehicle warranty, when I said yes another question was asked to answer Yes then the caller hung up. I've reported this to the Ohio attorney general office since i've learned caller want people to say yes.

Recording. Asked whether I could hear the caller.

- Manassas, VA, USA

This person has called me roughly 5 times trying to get me to say "yes" to a question. In particular, he keeps asking if "Maurice" is there? Or "is this Maurice?"

Caller pretended to sell back brace to 80 year old man. He gave them his Medicare number which is his Social Security number. He denied the purchase when he discovered how much the brace would cost his Medicare. When I, his daughter discovered that he had given out his Social Security Number I called the phone number that had called him and they would not give me the company name. They hung up on me twice. They told me that they were not allowed to give out the company name. They refuse to talk to me and the call goes straight to a voice mailbox that is full.

Recorded Voice - Saying they were from the customer service center then asks if you can hear them - wanting you to answer "yes"

Caller asked for me by name. I stated not available, could I take a message. She began to claim that she was calling because someone was trying to sue me in small claims court. I asked what state. She said Arizona. I again asked if I could take a message. She asked that the attorney's office be called and to use a specific claim number. Before getting the phone number and claim number I hung up. I disconnected because she wouldn't identify a law office and I know that notification of a matter in small claims court is handled via mail/server, etc. Sorry I couldn't get more information, but I was taken back by the call, by hearing "someone is suing you."

I was called and the person said hello, hello and I said "yes". I did not give any information but, was told that answering "yes" can cause them to be able to charge me for something. The person called my mobile phone.

This called on 2/16/17 at 7:30 PM.

Woman's voice started with "Can you hear me?" I said Yeeahw (Drawled) She then started talking about Disney tickets. I hung up

- Parker, CO, USA

They call and never leave messages. It's a recording of a female that states either "Can you hear me?" or "Are you there?" then there is a pause and then she goes into a line about winning a cruise/trip of some kind. A couple of weeks ago I received the first call and stupidly said "yes" on the phone. A few days later my credit card had been hacked and was used in Mexico, where I have never been. I don't know if those are related but the timing is certainly suspicious.

- Johnstown, PA, USA

I received a call from this number and the person on the line asked if I could hear him. I quickly started to say "Yes" and realizing it might be the "Can you hear me scam" I quickly added "No I can not" and I hung up.

I receive an average of one phone call a day from someone with an Indian accent and American name who is calling to say they have noticed I'm having a problem with my computer and they are offering tech support. My computer is in storage and my husbands computer is very specialized and never uses the web. We have a couple of IPads. I have threatened legal action and accused them of being a scam, all to no avail. I immediately hang up now as soon as I recognize who they are. From now on I will not answer the phone when I see" out of the area"shown or a persons name I do not recognize. Maybe they will stop calling.
