I was contacted by the unknown calling scam system through the number above. 712-223-9445 (a Sioux City number). They were threatening me and saying if I didn't pay off my credit card then they would fine me and come to my residence. I know its a scam because I called back multiple times and it said caller busy every time. I also don't have a credit card.

I kept getting a call from Buffalo NY asking me to call this number back because I am wanted by the local authorities. Knowing this was a scam I called the number back and asked him why he keeps calling this number. When I proceeded to tell him not to call back he told me to "[censored] off, you bitch"...real nice!

There is a scam in which callers are able to spoof your personal phone number to call and solicit others. This has caused a great deal of confusion and accusations made. This has happened to me twice this week.

Been receiving multiple notices that Student Loan Assistance Department is trying to reach me about my Parent/Student Loan. Telling me to "IMMEDIATELY" call 802-618-0024 and reference benefit ID 491-240-1160. The letter does not have an address or company name on it and it looks very official.

I called 802-618-0024 and a woman answered by just saying “hello”. No company name, no identification, no “good afternoon how can I help you”.

The attached email was sent to my business. The subject reads: "You are stupid : jWaFkp JB LfjiBf". I have not communicated with anyone who sent this, and I believe it to be a phishing scam.

Received a phone call from a person with an Indian Accent claiming to be from Microsoft Support telling me that my Microsoft Windows License had expired and they wanted to know if I was at my computer. I said no and they hung up immediately. After researching I found this is one of the latest scams across the US to get money out of people.

Voicemail. Caller said to call them within 24 business hours or police would be contacted for my arrest. They said this is my chance to "work something out". Reverse phone number look up said they were in New York but I didn't pay for more information. Sounded convincing. I called back late at night and no answer after 2 minutes. I live in Missouri.

I received a recorded message on my cell voicemail on 6/7/18 essentially saying that I have allegations pressed against my name and I risk serious legal action, and to call 315-308-9157. I received a similar voicemail on 5/23/18 from 516-422-9617 with the same threat. Both are New York area codes; I'm in California.

Was called by a computer voice telling me an arrest warrant was filed in my name (I live on the other side of the country) and if I didn't call this number back right away I would be arrested.

Received a voicemail on my work phone which stated;

"Hi this call is that there is a case a lawsuit that is getting filed under your name the moment you receive this message I need you to get back to me on my department division number that is 202-871-9882 I repeat 202-871-9882 now if I don't hear a call from you we will have to issue an arrest warrant under your name and get you arrested so get back to me as soon as possible thank you"

A FB friend of mine (Maria Davis) her account was hacked and she contacted me via PM and told me to friend request Gina Lopez McCarthy because she was giving away free government grants. I did this because I am poor and could use a government grant. I also checked out Gina's FB page and there is info on her page indicating that she does this. I messaged Gina and she asked for a lot of personal information which I provided. I was told to get a $100.00 iTunes card, scratch it off and show it to them. Then, a UPS driver would bring my grant check and at that time, I would have to give them $1,000.00 clearance fee. They kept calling me "Madam" which was odd and then I went onto Maria Davis's fb page and she posted that her account had been hacked. When I called the scammers out, they stopped messaging. PLEASE HELP!

I received several call on my cell today and after saying "hello" twice, there was no answer. Each call came from a different area code. The fourth call called me by my name and I said "yes". We have FSBO information out as we are trying to sell our home. This caller pretended to be a realtor and when I said I was not ineterested he requested my email address so he could send me information later. I hesitantly gave my email, but called that number as soon as we hung up.

That number is not for a real estate company and my call went unanswered. I believe this was part of a scam.

I keep receiving phone calls, voice messages stating that they are returning my call regarding student loan forgiveness. It says to call 949-201-2330 to resolve my debt. If I've already have this matter resolved please disregard this message. Thank You."

On 5/21/2018, I received four calls from 718-819-9874, a number out of New York. The voice mail messages were from an automated system, and a female voice.

Here's what was recorded:

"...working hours. And once it get expired you will be taken under custody by the local police as there are four serious allegations pressed on your name at this moment. We would request you to get back to us, so that we can discuss about this case before taking any legal action against you. The number to reach us 718-819-9874. Thank you."

On 5/22/2018, I received a call from 585-633-1447. It also was out of New York. The voice mail message was identical.
