I usually do not answer unknown numbers but this one looked familiar. I know not to answer "yes" when they say "Can you hear me okay" - but this one just asked "is this ***" and I said yes. They hung up. I checked the number and it was a call that had a lot of complaints, one was a roofing scam. In January my neighbor and I were delivering meals on wheels and were carjacked. Our purses were in the car. We got them back but had already cancelled all of our credit cards and changed our bank accounts. I've heard that scammers record "yes" when you answer and use the "yes" to charge things, etc. I don't know if that is true but was told I should report it to BBB Scam Tracker.

I'm reporting this for a record of the phone call.

I received recorded message that if I didn't pay money on some phony debt that I did not owe, they would have the police sent out to arrest me. I returned the call and they do not say the name but that I should "hold for the next available agent". The phone number is 831-287-1571 which originates from Salinas CA. This is another of my ongoing scam calls I have had recently. I do not speak with them because I cannot answer my phone quickly enough. Now I will not answer unless I recognize the number.

When I called the number back someone answered the phone and asked me how much I owed. No introduction of the company or anything. When i asked What I was hung up on.

The Man claimed to be a Tech support with Apple Computers. He called himself Mark Adams. There was a second Tech named Robert. I had just had my apple mac book for two months and was not aware of the basic information that Apple offers. One being the Firewall. I was on my computer when it started to with one pop up after another. Then I got a message that my computer was compromised and that I would need to contact Apple to get help. Then a screen popped up with a apple sign and a number for tech support. The man on the phone told me that I would need to purchase additional firewall protection and that I could pay today with a scanned check of 184.43 for one year. After scanning them a check they asked to be able to get into my computer to clean up the virus that was shutting my computer down. That is when Robert came in as the Tech from Bridgeway Inc. He gave me a 855-811-4814 number and said to not call no one else. That is when I knew that this was not right. I found another number from Apple and called. They told me to stop the share with them and take it to the closest Apple Store. I called my bank to make them aware of the threat on my account, and set up identity thief protection to protect my identity. I then headed to a Apple store. The scammers started to call me over and over. I was so upset and felt so violated. I asked them to cancel the check that I could not go through with this transaction and that I would need to just go to a store. They are still calling me from this number but I will block it and the other number as well. Apple may have his real name and are looking into this already. I am so upset! This was 5 hour of high stress. Plus I will spend every day keeping an eye on all my accounts. Please be careful.

Someone calling herself Annette Williams Pompey, hacked my aunts Facebook page to tell me to text this number about NFB grants and to give them information. I know this is not done through text message and after contacting my aunt she was not even online. I'm reporting because someone could fall for this.

A gentleman named Curtis Bryant contacted me by phone and asked if I was doing siding work. I did a bid for him over the phone and he wanted to give me a deposit along with an additional $6000 to pay an agent. He continues to call me and text me. I am going to block his number. I saw this scam on the ScamPulse.com's website.

I missed a call on my cell phone, but when I listened to the recording, it was a computer voice saying that there was legal action being pursued against me unless I call back the number they provided. I did not call back, but this clearly is a scam to obtain personal information.

received phone voice message, that I had 4 arrest warrants out on me that I must call immediately to get them addressed. it was a female voice, sounded mechanical, awkward, did not identify who she was, no company name or entity name. did not ask for money, just that I needed to return her call. I told local police and they said report it as a scam.

I received a message to call this number for my refund. When I called the number to see what refund may be due to me, the lady was foreign and spoke very quickly making it impossible to understand her. Immediately after hanging up this call another number started calling, and left a message saying the thing.

I receive an automated call from this number almost daily. Today I decided to press "9" to reach an associated. When the associate answered I kindly asked David to remove my number from his calling list. He proceeded to tell me that I would never be removed from his list. I said "excuse me", then he repeated to tell me that my number will never be removed from his list. I reminded him that he could not give me an answer like that and that I was reporting him. I then hung up he phone. I am unable to block the number because the number always starts with my extension 912-856-xxxx, but the last 4 are different every time.

This woman called my dad and left info for me to call about a legal matter I had. I have no legal matters so I called and was told they have me on video taking a tv from Okinus. I've never heard of them and most importantly I stole nothing. I told her it wasn't me, get the video, please. She says have to get a court order to get video. What I don't understand is why a court order would be needed to get video evidence from your client. Makes no sense! Then she told me I needed to grow up, at that point I busted out laughing and she said I need to handle my responsibilities and hung up.

Other info: 512.290.9980 called from this number and left 844 number. Linked to Peerless Network of Texas.

Okinus says I have an account sent to collection and the collection company (866.663.4065) has no record of me at all.
