Received call and the person asked for Ms. Patricia. I said it was the wrong number. Another person then got on the line and said "Is this the wrong number?: I answered yes. I am now worried they will use this recorded "yes" to conduct fraudulent activity on my cell phone, bank accounts and credit cards or sign me up for unknown subscriptions or order merchandise.

A scammer hacked a family member's Facebook messenger account. Through the Facebook messenger exchange, I gave my phone number to the imposter (before realizing it was a scam). The imposter texted me from the phone number (919) 374-0219. I have since called my family member to confirm they were hacked. I am blocking the scammer's phone number and blocking messaging from this account on Facebook.

Tried to get me to give bank info to wire a grant. I called number back and the number was disconnected

Long story short the gentleman wanted to book a client of mine and his band for a wedding for his daughter. He asked to pay by credit card and then asked if what kind of card reader we had because Paypal and Apple scanners have stolen his information. I then asked him for his email address and for him to email me his daughters name contract signatory phone number and anything else having to do with the wedding. He wanted me to email him rather. Then he asked if we could then cover the event planners see with his credit card and then write a check to the event planner which presumably was him trying to get all of the money for the date. I told him that we would pass on the date and thank you for trying to scam us

Caller provided my address and social security number by saying it first out loud and then tried to have me confirm whether it was correct or not. Then he said he had a business opportunity for me and was trying to get me to meet him at a location. When I asked him what it was he wouldn't give me any info.

Call was sent to voicemail - have received these types of scams before. The voicemail is conveniently cut off but half of the message from a stern, automated voice is that there are several outstanding warrants for undisclosed criminal activity and that I had ‘better call them back immediately’ or else I will be picked up by local authorities. I do not live in (nor have I ever visited) Idaho.

- Caldwell, ID, USA

Received phone call but let it go to voicemail (did not know number). The recording said something about filings and 4 allegations against me and it I didn't call within 24 hours the local cops would arrest me. This was an automated voice call.

This is your last and final chance to settle this case. If you don't take it seriously we have to take hard steps against you. And talking about the proof we have sent you several notification to your address but you didn't reply yet. Now from onwards we can't send you anything. If you are willing to resolve your case then you have to pay your debt back to the company and thereafter we will send you the Payment Receipt stating that your account is paid in full with zero balance.

We need your co-operation so that we can clear this matter outside the Court. Kindly update us ASAP so that we can proceed accordingly.

Thank You.

I received a phone call this morning from 915 613-3822. I did not answer the call because it was not a familiar number. The person left a message saying they were a local bank (which I was unable to distinguish what the name of the bank was) wanting me to return their call and set up an automatic withdrawal system. They left a number where I should call back, but I was unable to understand the numbers, so I wasn't sure if it was a different number.

They left message saying I should call because “the cops” were coming to my house to arrest me.

- Sioux Falls, SD, USA

They said I won something, of which I didn't believe. Before I hung up, they did get me to say "Yes" to something, which I immediately realized was not smart. They talked very quickly, and mentioned a variety of magazines, products, and gift cards. The voices were male.
