Scammer sent a text message with a photo of an invoice indicating that I subscribed to Norton LifeLock and included on the invoice was an order number and phone number to call for assistance- 1-888-589-0610. It also indicated that I would be charged 499.99 after my free trial. When I called the number, they wanted me to get on my computer and go into a website. I refused to open my computer and told them if a charge showed up on my credit card, I would contact the company and inform them of the fraudulent charges. The text was sent on 06/26/2023, as of yet no charges have come though, I continue to check my card daily. I also blocked the number. In order to upload the image of the invoice, I would have to download it on my phone and send to my email address, which I am not going to do and possibly expose my email or anything else to the scammers.

I received an email from this company charging me $899.99 for Norton antivirus when I never ordered it. Apparently they charged me but my bank account has not been charged.

I received an email from Norton that said they charged my account. I called the number for a refund. The scammer somehow hacked into my computer and said he was removing the product but instead got access to my bank account and said he gave me a refund for 160.00 but it ended up being 16,000. Had me go to the bank and withdraw the cash and take it to an atm bitcoin machine. All along I didn’t know it was actually my own money. The next day it was back in my account and he wanted me to withdraw it again. I finally told my husband and we figured out it was a scam. Called the police and learned a valuable lesson.

I received an invoice for a 12-month subscription renewal for $417.00 from Best Buy/ Geek Squad. The invoice looked legit so I called the customer support number referenced on the invoice. A guy named Mark (with heavy accent) answered and I gave him the invoice number. He wanted to verify I had made the purchase. When I said no it wasn't, me he informed me I was a victim of identity theft. Thank God I listened to that small inner voice. I hung up and went to the REAL Best Buy/ Geek Squad website and first off the customer support numbers didn't match. FAKE FRAUDS AND PHONYS

I received an invoice in the amount of 349.99. I called an inquired about the invoice, contact #866 324 0914. They had a middle eastern accent but spoke English. In order to cancel the fake subscription, they asked me to log into my computer and allow them access. After I refused, they immediately hung up the phone.

I received an email that looks like it also came from me. It said that Norton LLC was renewing my subscription for $224.83. I called the contact phone number and they told me it had already been processed and taken out of my account which I knew was a lie. He wanted me to go get on my computer while they talk to me. I told him I could not do that and he got mad at me and said that he could not cancel my subscription if I wouldn’t go to the computer. I asked to speak to a supervisor and he asked why and then use some expletives and hung up on me. He had a very heavy Indian accent. I tried calling back and they won’t take my call now.

I have received several emails from Norton stating that I owed hundreds of dollars. I watched my bank account, and no money was removed. At first, I just ignored the emails. But, after multiple emails, I decided to report it.

I purchased a FireStiCK THRU AMAZON and was attempting to activate my HULU account. I believe I may have gone to the wrong HULU website- they engaged me in a chat and then wanted me to allow access to my computer for one of their technicians- anyway, I ended the call at that time. I took screen shots

Used phone number on Arlo Canada website for support on Arlo doorbell camera. I was told a technician would call and he did. He said to fix the offline camera, we would have to pay $219.99. We hesitated but agreed. He lead us step by step to fix the problem. Then it was time to pay. The invoice I received on my phone showed it was US dollars. He promised to give us an extra service to compensate for the fact he hadn't told us it was USD and would get back to me. I didn't hear from him and contacted Arlo again today. I told the story and they said we had been scammed and it would be passed on to their legal team in the USA
