Type of a scam Debt Collections

I was contacted regarding a gym membership I had about a year ago, in which the gym closed down, and then never paid me back my money for the three months. This gym is 9Rounds and they are using Swift Funds as a means to get money out of you. But when push came to shove, they could not come up with any information or documentation and I was told that my 'debt' wasn't supposed to be there and they cleared my account AFTER I asked for contact information. This agency needs to be closed permanently, and 9Rounds should be looked into for fraud as well for working with them!

Said I owed over $500 in gym fees but said I only needed to pay $400. As I knew I did owe on this account I paid it and when I went to the gym they said it was only $200 but by then they had already taken out the $400

This is supposedly a debt collection office for a debt I have from a gym membership in 2014. I tried to call the numerous gimes to send me any type of documentation or even and an address to send them a check and have proof to verify the company. They said I can only pay with my card over the phone. I pushed for any type of paperwork to be mailed or emailed before making a payment. I have been hounding them for about a year nkw and all the reviews I read suggest they have stole from other people and are unreliable. The company does not have a website, any pamplets or brochures, no email address, and when I call, it is not a professional call center, I can hear people talking loudly and eating. I even habe caller id on my phone and when they call, my phone company has them listed as a scam! I have the money to pay off my debt but I need to validate that this company is legit, safe, and reliable before sending almost 3 thousand dollars with no reciept.
