I received a text message:

Hey (my name), it's Edwin, hiring manager at SVH Travel. You applied for our position and after review, we think you'd be a great fit to join our team! We do require new team members to attend our meeting, where we discuss the position, company, and pay. Please choose a time slot here: (website link) See you on the call soon! Reply STOP to opt-out

I have no idea what company or job this is for. I'm especially concerned because my bank has been involved in other suspicious activities.

I applied to a position on LinkedIn for SVH not knowing that it was a scam. “Edwin” called me saying that they would text me the next steps of the hiring process. This was a red flag I looked up the number and it did not match the company address and was flagged as a spam number.
