Scholastic solutions offered to help lower monthly student loan payments. I made an initial payment of $800 then monthly payments of $39 for the last two years. I just recently stopped payments after recieving a letter stating no payments had been made to my daughters student loans that scholastic solutions had supposedly been making.

'Bernadette Casarez' contacted me in regards to my student loans to help set up a repayment plan with this company needing an upfront cost of $899.00 for the application fee. She sent over a copy of a contract and asked me to sign and fill it out, thus resulting in me making 3 different payments that came to a total of $900. This was approximately a year and 4 months ago so to my memory's recollection, they posed as a third party company that could assist with lowering your student loan interest and payments.

They called about helping me get student loan forgiveness. They asked for proof of income which I emailed. Asked for 4 payments of $195 once a month as their fee for helping then afterwards it would be $10 month for a total of $3000 which my students loan was supposed to be reduced to. My third payment was late because I was struggling with my bills at home. And I wasn't able to make a fourth payment when I finally was able to the number didn't work for any of the people who emailed me.

I was looking for a company to help me consolidate my loans and I was told Scholastic Solutions would consolidate them for a down payment of $799 and then I would only have to pay $39/month for 240 months and then my loan would be forgiven. I was under the impression that this money was going towards my federal loans but I spoke with my federal loan servicer today and no payments have been made. I even spoke to the guy from this company on the phone and he answered all of my questions, sent me docusigns and made everything look legit. My student loan servicer has never even heard of them. I gave them all of my bank account information and SS number.
