Paul Brown, the owner of Strategic Improvements as sold us a roofing contract to fix a leak we where having at our back door/porch area. He promised a warramty from Owens Corning that included an Extended Warranty which meant that I would have coverage against a defect in workmanship. Well I really need that Extended Warranty protection because the roofing job the Strategic Improvements did own our house was full of defects. Flashing not replaced (We, my wife and , were told, "Yes" when we asked if new flashing was installed). Old flashing was not nailed down onto shingles. Paul Brown promised us a rolled roof, I word and in written contract; no rolled roof material was on site, shingle a where sent instead (Is this cslled Bait and Switch? ) Paul Brown also promised us by word and by written contract that Strategic Improvements would repair the plywood that was water damaged on the underside of porch roof, the crew refused to do it , "you need a carpenter" was the refrain for the foreman. Beyond replace a modicum of work there replacing 2 narrow as strips of plywood that were rotted through ( Is this Bait and Switch again?). The other water damage to the large sheets of plywood were not touched., no plywood planks were brought to the worksite. meaning that there was no intention of doing all the neccesary repairs. Lastly, Strategic Improvements never submitted the necessary paperwork to Owens Corning as per Owens Corning, . We don't have Extended Warranty coverage to fix Strategic Improvements failed roof.
