Ordered a jersey from Sportsgear and never received it

On October 26, 2023, I went online to purchase a Marcus Smart Celtics jersey. The best price was provided by a company called Sportsgear, and I clicked on that. The site appeared to legitimate, and I provided my credit card information and delivery address. I received confirmation of my order that promised delivery within 9–15 business days. I was hoping to receive the product in time for a November 13 birthday. By November 15, I still had not received the product nor any notice of impending delivery. So that day I emailed the customer service address provided ([email protected]) to inquire about the delayed delivery. I received what appears to be a standard notice repeating that delivery takes place within 9–15 days of the order. They also provided alleged tracking information which showed that the product was still in China. It is now November 26, and I have not received the product nor any update about delivery. I spent $49.00 and have nothing to show for it. I fear this may be a scam or at the very least an extremely incompetent retailer. If there is anything you can do to help resolve this problem, I would be grateful. At the very least, potential customers should be warned before ordering anything from Sportsgear.
