I had been searching for a secondary or part time job, as I am a single mom and struggling. I had my resume posted to a bunch of job board sites such as indeed, zip recruiter and LinkedIn. Daily I would be contacted by recruiters and such. I received an email from an hr department of this company. They said they found my resume online in a job board and thought I would be perfect for the position of shipping supply handler. I asked some questions about what the job entailed and it seemed doable to be able to have the flexibility of working a secondary remote job from home. I filled out the online application and a day later their "HR Department" reached out to me to schedule a telephone interview. I scheduled the phone interview for the next day. I spoke with a woman whom had an Indian accent and we went through what seemed like legit interview questions for about 15 minutes. She said I would hear from the hr department in a day or so with a decision on being hired for a 30-day probation working period. Two days went by and I received an email saying they would like to hire me for the temporary 30 day probation. They said I would not get paid until the probation period was complete. She explained that I would be reporting into a CRM system, anytime I receive a package from a courier reporting any exterior damage, inspect the contents of the packaging, upload photographs into the CRM system and to wait for the curator I reported to, to upload a new shipping label and then send out the product. Then report the new tracking information into the system with a receipt showing item was shipped. I was to report in every hour on the hour to my supervisor to see if there were any new shipments coming in, check tracking numbers so I knew when to expect items, etc. There were a few instances where I needed extra information, so I would call into my supervisor and they would never pick up the phone, nor would their be a voicemail. The line would ring a few times and hang up. I started to get suspicious and finally I had gotten a live voice on the phone. I kept records of all items, names, receipts, chats, emails, etc. from anyone that I supposedly dealt with. I finished out my 30-day probation period and contacted the payroll department, as they told me to do so the day before I completed the probation period. I was sent a congratulatory email saying that I was not fully hired yet and that HR would need 10 business days to review all of my information and input from my supervisor in which I reported in to everyday. They said they mailed out my paycheck on the 22nd of November at 1 PM. The next day was the holiday, so I figured there may be a delay in receiving the check. It is now December 2nd, and I still have not received any pay. I reached out to the HR department and the Payroll department and no response. I am very afraid I have fallen for a parcel mule scam. I wanted to report this in as soon as possible. By their website, their social media posts, the training videos and more this seemed like a legit job.
