The website claimed to be a business that burnt down in the Los Angeles fires. I ordered their "left over stock" though the close out sale clock re starts every day with new merch. I soon realized after placing the order they were NOT in California but in China. They would not cancel my order. The product arrived and it is very low quality. They claimed it was a $400 jacket, but its a piece of cloth and not worth much. No packing slip arrived. I emailed them several times for a return. They wanted me to film myself explaining why but their website says all returns are ok in 14 days no questions asked. I said I would not film myself. They then asked for photos of what I didnt like. I think they are trying to run out the clock of the 14 days. This is clearly a scam website pretending to be a victim of LA Fires.

Sophia & Mason is running ads on social media (facebook & instagram) saying they are a local LA based store that was burned down in the fires. They note that they have limited inventory in a local warehouse that they are liquidating to gain funds to rebuild. I am a local Angeleno that was evacuated during the fires and wanted to support their situation. I purchased a variety of items to give as gifts. When the order shipped, I noticed it was coming from China. I then researched and they have a holding company in Europe, yet they are a Chinese company.

I reached out to cancel my order and noted the false advertising. They responded and said I will have to return the goods through the proper channels to get a credit back. I have to pay to ship the goods back to China and hope they issue a credit. It's been weeks and I still haven't received the package. I am furious as I do not want to support scammers looking to benefit from the tragedy we experienced here in LA and I want my money back. I will be taking it up with my credit card company, as well.
